The "Boss" product isn't a chalk paint at all. It acts as a primer/shellac to prevent bleed-through before applying chalk paint.
The question is a ruse. How big is your piece... are you going to flip it over and do some of the underneath.... Will you be applying thin or thick coats?
Yes, but Boss isn't something you'd want to use. That's a primer for any dark colors you're going to paint over. To protect the paint, apply a clear coat over it, especially if it will be used frequently, such as the top of a dresser. I hope you find this information useful. Thanks.
Moonshine Metallics can be used on top of Chalk Paints. Dixie Bell Moonshine Paint is something I'd use, but it's not necessary. br>Have fun with your painting!

I mean all of the methods for getting rid of the odor. It was this jar of magic that did the trick. It has a white appearance when applied and a clear finish when dry. I applied two coats to be safe, then let it dry for a few days before applying my regular paint coat.

I BOUGHT THIS BELIEVING IT TO BE CHALK PAINT, WHICH IS ODOR FREE AND SAFE; HOWEVER, ON RECEIVING THIS ITEM, IT STATES OTHERWISE, SAYING THAT ODOR CAN BE HARMFUL AND TAKES 24 HOURS TO DRY. I THOUGHT THIS WAS JUST A GREY COLOR CHALK PAINT AND SAFE TO USE FAST DRYING NO ODOR ECT. THIS IS NOT WHAT I BELIEVED I WAS BUYING AS I BOUGHT OTHER COLORS FROM THIS DEALER BEFORE, THOUGHT THIS WAS JUST A GREY COLOR CHALK PAINT AND SAFE TO USE FAST DRYING NO ODOR ECT IT'S ACTUALLY A WOOD TREATMENT WITH HARSH CHEMICALS TO BLOCK ODOR.
I adore the USPS as well, but that is absurd. I'm not going to buy it from you.
I tried airing it out for a few days, but the smell remained the same. The odor was significantly reduced after one coat of boss. It had completely vanished by the second coat. AMAZING!.
I used it to remove a cigarette odor from an older piece of furniture. It seemed to get rid of the odor! It was much thinner than I had anticipated, and it reminded me of watered-down glue.
This was an excellent solution. An antique store sold me an old cabinet that reeked horribly. I tried everything to get rid of the odor but nothing worked until a store owner recommended this product, which I purchased. It was extremely effective! I would strongly recommend this product for removing odors from old furniture. Although it appears to be white, it is clear when applied.
This made it possible for my chalk paint to adhere properly.
