I'm a professional artist, and this is by far the worst gesso I've ever used, and I've tried a lot of cheap "student-grade" gessos. brands of "first-class" quality It's extremely runny, thin, and doesn't cover well. My painting professor recommended Liquitex to me when I was in art school. Later on, in order to save money, I switched to other off-brands. I realized that this gesso is superior in every way that can be measured. more white, more flexible, more opaque, more coverage, more tooth, and can be used with a wider range of mediums, such as oil and acrylic.
