I'm an artist who has previously created my own canvases, so I'm familiar with the quality of canvas. The quality of these canvases is adequate. It's not the best I've ever seen, but it's serviceable. I was concerned that the back crossbars would be too close to the canvas. I was worried that my brush strokes would leave strange marks on the crossbars, but it didn't bother me at all. The crossbars, on the other hand, are extremely frail. To tighten up the backs of a couple of my canvases, I sprayed them with water, which was a bad idea. The crossbars bowed out slightly, compromising the straightness of the canvas sides. I don't have this problem when I use higher-quality canvases. These aren't particularly good canvases, but they sufficed for my needs. I always frame my artwork to hide the bowing, but I'll never spray the backs of these canvases again. br>I bought these primarily to have them shipped for free to a state where I was flying for an art retreat. I painted them, returned them to myself in the same box, and mailed them back. I'd buy these canvases again if I needed them shipped to an art retreat, but I'm not sure I'd buy them for my own home artwork.

These canvases are exact measurements of 19 and three quarters, but they are recommended to be 20. That is not the case. They are used to mount my Diamond Paintings with Modge Podge. The painting for which I ordered them is 20 x 20. These are not what they appear to be. If you require a specific 20 x 20 size, do not purchase these. I squandered more than $60.

Everything she's ever painted for me has turned out beautifully! Colors pop, the high-quality canvas material is easy to paint on, and the high quality means it'll last a long time! br>br>If you use canvas in any way, I would strongly consider purchasing this brand if I were you!.

Many of the reviews from others who claim that their order arrived damaged make sense to me. The packaging was not ideal; fortunately, the canvas was not damaged, but the canvases did have some dents. Nothing a little water and friction with a cloth couldn't fix, and it helped to tighten the canvas. If you have a steamer, it may be able to help with the dents in the corners. I have not yet painted on them and will provide a full review once I have had a chance to do so. It was not bad at all for the price I paid.

Whether my canvasses are pre-gessoed or not, I always use gesso to prepare them. I prepped the canvasses as usual with three coats of gesso and light sanding in between, but they still seem to "soak" up the paint. On some of the canvasses, I use more paint than on others. I'm not going to order the same canvas again.

Wonderful works of art! They aren't stretched to their maximum potential. A few had stretch marks across the canvas, but I simply sprayed them with hot water and hung them in front of a fan to stretch them out completely. br>br>I'll definitely buy from you again!.
