This is exactly what I was looking for - a needle inserter, to be precise! and it was a good deal. )br>br>I needed a new needle inserter after my old one was chewed up by a bored dog. I couldn't find the model that came with my machine, so I decided to buy something that would suffice. It's only for making sure the needle is firmly lodged before tightening it, so it doesn't have to be fancy. br>br>So many of them have useless (or redundant) tools on the other end, but this one had a brush, which is at least useful (although redundant because I have several others, but whatever!). It is, however, a very basic tool. br>br> On one end, there's a brush for removing lint and other debris, and on the other, there's a needle inserter for shoving that needle into the machine before tightening it. Perfect!.
When I bought my serger, the store owner showed me how to use it. I was more intrigued by the needle inserter she was using. I'd never seen anything like it in my favorite fabric store's notion section, so I ordered one right away. I'm glad I did, because it saves me time; I used to struggle with changing needles, but not anymore. The package arrived on time.
The needle for the sewing machine is held in a round hole. The needles on a sewing machine are NOT round; They have a flat side and are round on the rest of the needle. The flat side must be inserted into the machine in the correct position; I found it impossible to keep the needle in the correct position with this inserter.
This is fantastic. It's much easier and less fumbling for me to get my needle in place and into my machine now. And the brush on the other end makes cleaning a breeze. I adore it so much that I bought one for each of my quilting friends as a Christmas present.
It simply works.
I've been through worse. Inserter of needles that works. I've been through worse. It gets the job done, but it should have been much less expensive.
I always have a hard time getting a new needle into the needle holder, so this needle inserter is ideal. I ordered two, one for each machine, to ensure that I never run out.
It works well and was simple to implement.
