I haven't tried using double-stranded embroidery floss with my needle case, so I can't say for certain.
Yes, they can use it to keep cross-stitch needles threaded. stitch.
The top is removed, and the chamber is spun until the insude thread is wound up. To replace the needle, simply pull it out and the thread will follow. Per dome, I recommend using only one color. Unless one color on top of another isn't a problem for you.
Yes, but due to the thickness of needlepoint yarn, you'd only be able to store half as many. Needles threaded with two strands of embroidery floss can be easily stored in my drawer.

When I used to sew my quilt bindings, I would thread a dozen needles and place them in a pin cushion or sofa arm. They'd pop out, tangle up, and be a pain to deal with. This is a fantastic case. All of my needles are now safely stored in this case, which can be moved from my sewing room to the couch or anywhere else and remain usable. They're very convenient to use and don't get tangled up with the other threaded needles. I wish I'd found out about this a long time ago.
It was shared with me by a member of my Facebook hand quilting group. You must strictly adhere to the instructions, with the exception that I use a longer thread than is recommended. It works perfectly, and having preloaded needles for travel is extremely convenient. A second one was placed in my shopping cart. You will enjoy this if you enjoy hand quilting.
When I was retrieving the next needle, I used to stick myself all the time. I enjoy planning ahead of time. Fill my needles with embroidery floss for my projects and store them in the wall of my sewing bag until I'm ready to use them. Now I'm able to plan ahead. I thread my needles, swirl them into the case, and tuck it away in my sewing bag. Clover has come up with the best idea I've seen in a long time!.
If you're working on a big hand sewing project or like to take your sewing with you, this little gadget is a must-have. I love that I don't have to stop every ten minutes to thread another needle! If you knot the thread, it will tangle; however, if you follow the directions, it will work perfectly. I also put conditioner on my thread before winding it into the holder, which may help. A bonus- I don't have any needles going missing because I always replace the needle I'm removing with the needle I just finished with.
I bought one of these domes for my general sewing kit a long time ago, and it served me well, but it wasn't spectacular. However, now that I've started English Paper Piecing, these domes are fantastic! I like that I can preload a large number of needles so I don't have to stop sewing to reload them. They're ideal for travel because I don't need to bring a thread spool or scissors, and the loaded needles are neatly stored. My only complaint is that getting the needle seated in the dome can be difficult at times, but this has only happened with a few domes and in specific slots. I have several of these, so it isn't a recurring problem for me. These are something I'd buy over and over again.
It's easier to thread ten needles at once and have them ready when you need them when hand quilting. Keeps threaded needles tidy for quilting on the go. I've never had a problem with the thread getting tangled. It's also a great addition to a travel or gift sewing kit. Needles in white, cream, black, navy, and brown can be loaded and ready for repairs in a matter of minutes. With this unintentional use of the needle case, I haven't had a thread problem removing a pin out of order.
The instructions for this are a little vague, and it took me a few tries to figure out how to do it because they weren't very clear. The only other suggestion I have is to make the dots on the wheel larger so they are easier to turn; otherwise, I enjoy being able to sew for long periods of time without having to stop to thread my needle.
Nifty! So handy! I've tried a few different methods for keeping threaded needles on hand, but they all result in a tangled mess. Clover Dome Threaded Needle Case keeps your threaded needles neatly organized and close at hand. I don't have to waste time looking for and threading needles for my projects any longer! It took some time for me to read through the instructions, but once I did, it's perfect: neat, organized, and portable. Your threaded needles will love it!.
