My first experience with iron transfers and embroidery was last summer. To create my own flour sack towel set and perhaps make a few more as gifts, I was planning on doing some embroidery. In order to transfer the image to fabric, I first heat the fabric, then place a piece of cardboard under the fabric (that way, the image does not transfer to the surface beneath), and iron it a couple of times with a dry, hot iron to adhere the image to the fabric. Though I have not had to do so yet, I am certain I could make multiple transfers from a single one. In the case of this piece, at least three strands of embroidery floss, usually four or five, seem to be ideal to cover the outline. You could use a special stitch to achieve better coverage with fewer thread strands, but this is entirely left up to you. Thanks to the results, I'm satisfied.
91-year-old mom takes them to sewing school because she loves to sew. Easy enough for her to iron on cloth and get started. Keeping the mind active is good for you.
Despite the fact that I've only used each pattern once, I believe that it could still be useful to me in the future.
Thank you for making this product work, it's great! Your name.
The work is great - The hint is Place the iron directly on top of the pattern, let it rest for a few seconds, then pick it up, move over a width, then lay it back down again. Do not drag the iron along the fabric. Even when pinned very tightly, the transfer will run if the iron is left down. Great product! I will buy again.
There are a variety of patterns that I like. The inking seems thicker than it used to years ago and since I haven't done any embroidery for a few years, I noticed that when I bought the new ones to start again, it was thicker than before. One strand of floss doesn't cover everything when I use it on a lot of things. Thank you, Bev.
The patterns were a part of the birthday present I gave my sister. It is Aunt Martha who makes the most beautiful It was nice to hear that she thought they were good. It's especially nice to have such a wide variety to choose from. The product is great.
