These are the supplies I use to quilt. The products should not be used on clothing - The fabric should not be very fine and thin.
Thank you for your inquiry. These safety pins were ordered since I wanted a stronger metal that wouldn't crumple when inserted through materials or fabrics. It is not a problem for me at all to snag. This is a great pair of sometimes use a bar of soap to stick the pin into the fabric before inserting it into the fabric for a much easier glide. I hope this answers Hope you have a successful year!

My first thought was to review safety pins but it turned out I'd be writing one. have to admit that I'm impressed by them. It is possible to have a different opinion if you are a safety pin connoisseur. My 60 pound, senior dog bed needed more pins to keep the corners of a large, washable potty pad pinned down. I left plenty of slack on the pad to compensate for the pulling, and used two pins on each corner to prevent the pins from bending and opening up. The pins I had on hand kept opening up whenever he got up and down all day/night. There is a noticeable difference in the thickness and strength of these pins. The power is much greater. Despite 2 months of use, I'm still using the original 4 pins from the bag and none of them has come undone or stretched out. These are wonderful. I'm very pleased with them.
" I bought this safety pin from Ralphs, which is thicker than the one I bought at Target. As opposed to the wobbly clasp on a grocery store pin, the clasp on this pin is solidly attached to the pin. A clasp was purchased for the pin. The solid NiftyPlaza version is far safer than the plastic one, especially since it has a very sharp tip. I'm so sorry! No matter what you hold in front of it, or what it holds, it is strong enough to go through jeans, thick cargo shorts, heavy blankets, etc. without bending or causing damage. A failure to meet my needs by this product would have prompted me to return it. There is no FAIL in this case. There is no doubt this brand is going to stick around. I am, after all, a Prime member, and being able to return something with ease is a bonus for me. Remember, I am merely spreading the word on the perfect batch I got. My luck has been good lately.
No burrs or rough edges indicated the quality of the pins. I felt, however, that some were not as sharp as you could get Pin basting a quilt posed difficulties for me because I had problems getting through the fabric.
