It's simple to tell if the needles you've been given are genuine Janome needles. Organ, a Taiwanese company, produces all of Janome's needles. On the rounded side of the shaft, "Organ" and the needle size will be stamped. If the shaft is stamped with the manufacturer's name, "Organ," they are the real deal, regardless of how they are packaged. "A needle with Janome stamped on it will never be found. Janome needles are not made in-house. Organ, on the other hand, is responsible for private labeling them.
Purple Tip Needles are made to prevent skipped stitches when sewing and embroidering heavy fabrics, such as knits. They have a ball point tip to prevent fabric thread breakage and a special cobra-shaped head to form a proper needle thread loop, preventing skipped stitches caused by fabric movement. I'm not sure why you'd need to contact your Janome dealer.

It's just a plain plastic bag that hasn't been labeled. This is not the item that is displayed. Just a needle case in a plastic bag with no markings. I advise you to get your needles from somewhere else. I'm not sure if these are genuine Janome sewing machines.
My Janome sewing machine (DC1050) was frequently skipping stitches. Because of the skipping, I was essentially unable to use the machine. After doing some research, I discovered that these needles might be able to help, and they thankfully did! br>br>One thing to keep in mind is that these needles will not work with all materials. These needles, in particular, did not work with a thin microfiber cloth. That is, I believe, to be expected, so I would still give these five stars.
When I tried to quilt with rulers and either my Janome ruler foot or my Westalee foot, I got a lot of skipped stitches. These needles were recommended to me, and they have made a significant difference. I still have to adjust the height of the foot to avoid skipped stitches now and then, but it's a lot less common with these needles.
The item I ordered was clearly marked as a Janome product. I am extremely skeptical because the needles I received today (*see photo) do not bear the Janome name or size markings that are shown on the Amazon website. This item has been misrepresented. This product receives a ZERO rating from me.
I was surprised at how much of a difference using Janome needles over generic needles made. Despite the fact that both needles work in the machine, the Janome needles appear to enter the material more smoothly and last longer.
Non-specific, generic Needles with the company's logo on them were sent.
The needles are incredible. They last longer than other needles I've tried on my Janome machine, which more than compensates for the higher price. I'm currently working on an in-the-hoop quilt with a lot of stitches running through multiple layers of fabric, batting, and wool. There will be no issues.
I DECIDED TO USE THE NEEDLES RECOMMENDED BY THE DEALER FOR FREE MOTION QUILTING SINCE I RECENTLY PURCHASED AN M7 CONTINENTAL. THEY ARE EFFECTIVE! THREAD BREAKING AND TENSION ISSUES ARE VERY RARE.
