90/14. I had recently purchased a used sewing machine and was putting it to the test with some miscellaneous items that needed to be repaired or patched. The fraying fabric got caught in the bobbin on the third garment I was stitching. Everything is cocked due to a pressure plate. My needle shattered as a result of the bend in the plate. There were no spare needles included with the machine. After removing the pieces, I discovered that it was an Organ 15x1 Needle. br>br>Now I went online and did a quick search, both in big box stores and on the internet. Amazon, it turns out, outperformed the big box stores. I could buy 100 needles for the price of ten or twenty needles in the store! As a result, I placed an order for one of each size 75/11. In ten packs of ten needles, there are 90/14 needles. So there are 100 needles total in each size, which should last a lifetime! lolbr>br>One size 90/14 is for lighter to medium materials, and the other size 75/11 is for medium to heavy materials, I believe. So far, the needles have fit perfectly, and I've been able to complete all of my small sewing projects. Hemming, patching holes, and resizing curtains are all things that can be done. ***UPDATE**

***UPD 20br>It's been years since I've had to replace another needle, and I've only had to do so once. These appear to be in good condition. I had no trouble sorting through the various materials I'd sewn. I'll update again if I start finding these needles failing in some way. For the time being, I am extremely pleased with my purchase.
They also stay sharper for longer than the Schmetz brand, and they are significantly less expensive. I've recommended these needles (available in a variety of sizes) to everyone I know who sews or embroiders, as well as to a number of Facebook groups.
These needles are just as good as 'name brand' needles, and are now a brand in their own right. I'm a quilter, and it's recommended that you start a new quilt with a new needle, so I go through a lot of needles. Add in the ones that smack into the needle plate because I forgot to switch to the zigzag plate on my 401a, and my Janome MC3000's general fussiness (she's a diva!). ) and the number of bodies begins to mount. I'd have to stop buying fabric if I bought my needles in Joann's fancy plastic Schmetz packs, which we all know isn't going to happen. Exactly!.
For the quantity of needles, this is a fantastic price. When I use any of my Singer sewing machines, I use the needles for the majority of my projects. I've used them in my Singer Merritt model 1860 and Singer models 27, 127, 66, 99, and 405 slant foot.
Organ has been around for a long time and produces a high-quality, dependable product at a fraction of the cost. I own a small costume creations business and go through tens of thousands of pieces every year. Every three minutes, 15 needles Depending on how much you use it, it could last up to five days. As a result, price is crucial. br>There is a high level of quality. These are the same ones I use in my Janome sergers and sewing machines. For light to medium weight fabrics, the 90/14 works well with sergers and regular machines. If you want something thicker, For upholstery and leather, I recommend the 100/16 or 110/18 fabrics.
These needles are just as good as, if not better than, the Singer branded needles that I've been using for years at a much lower price. br>br>I'm using them in my Singer 4452 Heavy Duty.
I just double-checked my order, and it does say 14. Size 9 was received. A size 9 is useless to me. br>I've changed my mind about my rating. It's exactly what I was looking for. The outside package indicates a size of 9, but each individual package indicates a size of 14, so everything appears to be in order.
I use quite a few needles as a free motion quilter. The sharpness of these needles is far superior to that of others. This is a brand that I've been using for a long time. These needles are great for general sewing, quilting, and even embroidery.
