I think they'd be too big for a hat, but I've used them for bag straps with webbing and they work great.
3/8" wide and 1" long are the dimensions of each opening. A carrystrap was made out of fabric-covered 1" polypropylene strapping. A layer of strapping runs through one side of the slide. The strapping on the other side is made up of two layers. It appears to be an ideal match. I hope this information is useful!
The width of the buckle is. 115 I used the buckles for a 50 psi tensile strength application. It's not an issue.
Sorry, but the packaging I still have doesn't specify where it was manufactured.

These (along with the clasps and rings I purchased from the same company) are all between 1" and 15/16" in diameter. It's not a big deal; it's just an aesthetic detail, but it'll show up on the rings. A range of 1" to 1 and 1/16" would have been preferable. br>br>Also, take a look at the description. I was expecting "gun metal" to be a flat grey like most real guns (not to mention Scarface and Mr. Hussein), but it's a very shiny grey, like a dark grey vehicle color. Sorry about that; I'll see what a light sanding can do. br>br>Overall, I'd buy it again, especially if matte versions of the coloring were available. I'm just relieved that I was able to find a matching set of hardware without having to look all over. I'm hoping they hold up well; if they do, I'll consider it a win.
These hardware pieces are very solid and substantial. They're a little too heavy in my opinion, especially for smaller scale projects. Another flaw was that many of the pieces had rough patches on them. Some of these were simple to file away with a mail file, but others were tucked away in corners and out of reach.
I used to fix a baseball cap for a kid; they were a little big, but they worked. It's sturdy and appears to be long-lasting.
Although it is a little on the expensive side, the quality is outstanding. I'd buy them again because of the beautiful finish and smoothness; however, I wish they were available in larger quantities so that the price per glide could be reduced.
I have yet to use them, but they appear to be exactly what I was looking for. Everything I've had so far has had plastic buckles and the like, but these appear to be good, sturdy metal buckles.
It was quick to arrive. I have the ability to make slide belts in a variety of colors. It's very cost-effective because of it. Each one is extremely durable and offers excellent value.
These are much better than the plastic ones that came with my backpacks, so I'm glad I bought them.
There isn't much to say. It's made of metal and has a 2-inch diameter. It's a hole donut that keeps your straps in place so they don't slip under tension. It appears to be of adequate durability.
