I haven't tried it, but it's wool, so it should work if you wrap it evenly around the soap bar. Just remember that wool has a musty odor, so either dry it or air it out.
I suppose you could dismantle it and use the diners to make beards out of it? It is determined by the purpose of the beard. If it helps, the roving can be separated into divers....
a little more than 7 oz.
It's about 3 feet long.

plus. This roving appeals to me a lot. This stuff has been fantastic as I'm learning to spin with a Turkish spindle. There is a small amount of grass here and there, but it's easy to spot and move on. br>br>The staple length is approximately four inches. It's 5 to 5 inches tall, so it's forgiving for a beginner. Within a week, I went from park and draft to actually spinning, and I believe the long staple length was a big factor. br>br>4 June 2019br>I made the decision to dye some staples for fly tying. In a Gatorade bottle, I'm mixing rit dye with denatured alcohol. Colors were easily absorbed by this material. This is the result of soaking them for an extended period of time. This dye produced exactly the colors I was hoping for.
In November of 2018, I purchased it. As a hobby, I make needle felted animals. I like it because the wool roving takes shape quickly, and I feel like I can sculpt my animals in a short amount of time, whereas this roving wool takes me SO LONG to needle into a proper shape. I actually stopped needle felting for a while because I was so frustrated with how things were going. I'm giving it another shot, but I'm still having trouble. I won't be buying anything else.
There was also the occasional off-the-beaten-path excursion during the roving. I think this roving would be great for other felt projects, but if you're doing wet felting, I'd recommend sticking with Merino.
The product was exactly as described, and it arrived quickly. There is no discernible odor. I'm currently working for a company that makes craft gnome beards, so I can't comment on how well it would make yarn.
This is not 100% wool because thick strips of plastic are strewn all through the roving that I had to constantly pick out while needle felting. This is a product that I would not buy again. It took up a lot of time and caused me a lot of stress on a project that I was really looking forward to.
This is a large quantity of tightly packed wool, roughly the size of a cantaloupe. Wool is a very soft material. It's not at all coarse. It came in handy when I was needle felting. It was an excellent solution. I'm going to buy more. Give me a thumbs up if you found this review useful.
This roving is ideal for making the cores of my felted creations. There are a few in the bag, and they are soft and come apart easily enough to be useful but not so easily that they become a hindrance. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
It arrived on time, even faster than promised, and I am extremely pleased! I'll definitely buy it again, and I've already told others about it!.
