The kit must have been redesigned by the feedback I read because I do not have any I'm fine without the needle, so there was no need for it. Although separating thread is a pain in the neck, but when is it not? This kit appears to have enough thread for the kit and we did not encounter any issues when separating thread. I am very pleased with the progress so far on the stocking. They redesigned this kit, so again, I think it's easier to read the pattern. Starting out with this is not a good idea. It's safe to say I'm at an intermediate level with cross-word puzzles The first thing I did was stitch, and it is pretty easy so far, but for someone who just started out, it is a lot. As soon as I finish it, I'll post a photo of the adorable stocking. will purchase another kit once I am done with this one. I am most satisfied with the kit.
A good portion of my time was spent simply unraveling the thread, which I had to manually unwind and unravel inch by inch in order to prevent tangles and breaks.
