My pattern was good and the thread was plentiful, however the Aida fabric they sent was only 14 x 14 inches in size. So the stitching is less than an inch from the edge of the material at the top and bottom. I found it very difficult to stitch within the hoop and to maintain any tension while doing so. AT LEAST 14 x 16 inches of material should have been used. Not until I had spent HOURS on it did I realize how much time had been spent If you decide to purchase it, you could save yourself a lot of headaches by getting your own fabric.
Crossing a border is difficult if you have never done so In my opinion, I would avoid this product if I had never stitched before. Directions are easy to follow, but it is not for a beginner. The fabric has no printing on it, so you have to follow their instructions to create it. It would be best suited for the more experienced, since the fabric has no printing on it. You get what you pay for, and the items that you receive are good. This fabric is fine. The floss is of good quality and colorful. Although it needs to be packaged separately, the needle is fine. You will find directions on the website. There is no hoop to jump through. No easy instructions are printed on the fabric, so there is no way to follow them. I was disappointed with the packaging - it was a paper bag that was very thin and flimsy All contents of the box had to be kept in separate plastic bags to keep them It would be much cheaper to buy this pattern on Etsy and get the materials separately if it weren't for the convenience of having everything in one set I can have it for under $10 with no problem. Cross-border travel can be a lot better and cheaper Embroidery kits that include everything you need plus a lot more. I will use it, but I didn't think it was worth the price.
There is a four page pattern, directions, floss key, needle, fabric, and embroidery floss in this kit. Even though it claims to be beginner-friendly, the directions are not basic enough to assist a true beginner. The beginning sewist or cross stitcher would be at a loss without any knowledge of sewing or cross stitching. I do not have a problem with the rest of the product besides the lackluster instructions. Getting started is on my list of must-dos!.
Everyone who is a Harry Potter fan should read this! We had plenty of space and our chart was easy to read. There was a lot of floss left over for us to use! My first hoop size was 260x180, until I got to the words, when I switched to a 240x340.
I noticed before I started that thread # 950 was very short. I ran out of time before I even got started. The thread number 951, which I had on hand, was used as an improvised thread. Over the course of a month, I finished this project. Only one thing bothered me was the ease with which some threads knot. However, having some experience, it didn't deter me at all. There is no problem reading and following the chart. Upon working on this project, I realized that I had never seen color coding before. A replacement pattern was emailed to me after my pattern got wet. Thanks to the seller for their assistance.
Currently, I am not done but it looks like it will be nice. It's 20 stitches short of string so either keep track of what you need or go buy one piece of string for each stitch. It will cost you about $10 for one piece. It's my first time doing cross stitch, so I can't tell if this is a good option for beginners.
There are three pieces in this kit, each designed and organized very nicely, and each comes in a brown paper bag. This means that there is plenty of room for mistakes and such, because more floss/thread is provided than you need. There is a good amount of detail and a good sense of organization in the guide. My instructions are a little lacking, but this is my first attempt at this and I had to go to YouTube to see how to do As a beginner, I don't think this kit is great because it's pretty large and has lots of stitches, I would have preferred to start with something smaller and simpler. Nevertheless, I couldn't recommend it to anyone else, just a note to those who might be If you have a hoop or a q-let, you should use it It's not necessary to use snap frames over the picture frames because of their size. My overall opinion of the kit is positive!.
One thing that really disappointed me is that I ran out of three colors of thread for this crossstitch. It is quite pretty and not too difficult. Since I was short on a few colors, I had to improvise with colors I had excess to make part of the design work.
