It feels so good to have finished the stocking and love the design too! Although I worked a lot during the making of this (since I work nonstop), I was intimidated by sewing it all together, but after watching a few videos I made it and it came out nicely ). D
I have been cross stitching for over 15 years, and I did not have any trouble making this design. You end up with a beautiful product! Since some people complain that the thread is now glued to the swatch that comes in the kit, to help keep the threads organized I fold up each color and then loosely tie In addition, I use a single hole punch at the top of each color to help keep everything organized and organized by putting the thread in those holes once the thread has been taken out. After watching a bunch of videos online, I finally got my stocking put together and it now hangs proudly in my apartment. I used the felt that they included in the kit by spraying some adhesive onto the felt and then laying it on the back of the velvet for extra support.

I find it easy to navigate the pattern. My collection of colors went beyond enough for both the trees and snowflakes except the light silvery blue for the sides of the trees. There was only one thing that I did not like about it the white areas on top and bottom were marked as being stitched using half stitches with four strands of white. In the picture, the white areas look filled with white. It did not look like this when I did it with half stitches. that comes with it is light blue, so stitching the half stitches in white did not fill it all in. There was a lot of blue showing through. I just didn't think it looked as full (like snow) as It looked so much better after I took out the half stitches and used three strands of white and cross stitches instead of half stitches! I did more work than I had planned on but it looked amazing, as you can see from This is a very good looking stocking and it isn't that hard to do. It looks like the white areas would take most of your time but you don't have to switch colors very often and it is just straight white. So I put a movie on and This is hardly worth paying attention to. Creating the shadows under the bears was the most difficult task as many of the colors were very similar and you had to switch threads frequently. I'm not sure that the white sections were as bad as they seemed. I didn't mind working on this project since it was my first large project.

I have been stitching for more than 50 years. Towards the end, I completed the most challenging art piece I have ever done. I like the way it looks. It will test your patience and take a toll on your willpower. A total of over 47K stitches, 18ct, and over 500 hours of work went into this project. The details are superb. I think the sofa design is a bit outdated (it's from the 80s/90s). In addition to the Dimensions stocking kit, I also received a Stack of Critters from my Amazon wish list at the same time, but the Stack of Critters was missing all of its In June, I reached out to Dimensions by email, but I was told it was backordered. They told me in November that it was still back ordered but that they would send me DMC floss "as a service". (Polar bears are also the main theme in this book). The white from previous projects could be ignored since it is easier to match, but I specifically requested pale gray and light gray colors. As you can see, it turned out beautifully and I am extremely pleased with the results-- The only thing I wish is that I had all materials from the beginning.
