Hello Mordy, I have not started this project yet, so I am unable to tell you anything about it. As far as the cross stitch goes, it's quite easy, but I'm not sure what beginner means.
The finished piece will not be as neat if you skip squares in the backstitch. Needles do not have to be forced through the whole surface instead, you only need to thread them through stitched areas.
The needle I used was small enough for cross stitch. There is no sharp edge on it, just a smooth, rounded surface. A regular sewing needle is not suitable for this task. There will be thorns on the fabric that will want to grab it. There should be a gap between the threads where it can slip or slide. In my experience, needles have never been a problem. Thank you. I hope this was helpful. It will be a beautiful piece when it is Having mine professionally framed was a wise decision. I love it!
The needle that came with mine was missing, too. It is not the case with this kit, which I guess is typical. It's my mistake.

What a lovely photo this turned out to be. I am so impressed with the final product. After a while, I had finally finished it, and it was well worth the wait. You don't want to start with this. As a counting aid, I always stitch a grid of 10x10 with black thread. When I'm ready to remove it, it will be no problem. I'm able to count much easier this way, and I avoid making mistakes as much as possible.
A beautiful design with a clear pattern makes this shirt stand out. In my view, the comment about not enough threads is completely without basis. It seems that those folks failed to separate the strands as instructed, resulting in too much thread being used. This coloring book is large and has a lot of colors to keep track of. It would not be recommended for beginners because there are too many colors and a lot to keep track of. Just a bigger canvas with a few stitch types, like half stitches and combined stitches, is all there is to it. This is a great book to read! Here is an update after completion of the project this was a really As far as the quality of the thread is concerned, it is not as good as DMC, but I guess that is to be expected for the price. It is evident that when comparing the finished product to another kit with better thread that you can see the difference, but if you just look at the final product hanging on the wall in a frame it is very lovely. It's still a favorite of mine and I recommend it highly!.
A friend of mine is an excellent cross stitcher, so I got it for her as well. It is clear from both of our viewpoints that the thread provided is not sufficient. In order to have enough thread to finish the whole picture, you have to be really good at preserving the thread as you go. You can see that the picture itself is very good My recommendation would not be to refrain from purchasing this product, but to be aware of how little thread you will be given from the beginning and make sure it is conserved.
There are a lot of threads left over.
Getting started on it is very exciting for me. There are different colors of floss in the kit, which is very well organized. I absolutely love it! If I order a kit, it should be sorted and put together as a kit instead of having the colors mixed up, only to have strands of one color left over. It was a breath of fresh air to receive this kit. This is one of the reasons why I tend to steer clear of kits.
Cross stitching is one of my favorite crafts. I have been doing this craft for many years and am still working on this project. As an old hand, I find it exciting, but as a beginner it might be overwhelming due to the color thread vs the pattern markings. Even for us hold hands, the half stitches need to be done last, otherwise, the jar color is so bright, it's easy to lose our place in the pattern. Take part in the games and enjoy yourself!.
This pattern is beautiful and the colors are gorgeous. A quick stitch pattern but certainly not for beginners. There was plenty of floss to complete it. Getting some kind of floss organizer would be helpful while you work, since even though the floss comes clearly marked by color and size, it's still a good idea to keep those things in order before you begin to work. Once the strands are removed from the card, there is no way to attach them again, and it can become confusing as to which color belongs to which strand. Regardless, I am extremely happy with the end result! I can't wait for it to be framed, matted, and pressed!.
The beginner's guide is not for you. Color changes are constant, so the time you spend cutting and threading is more valuable than doing cross stitch. The pace I am going at now will probably lead to me getting bored and not finishing the line in an hour. It's just not worth it to earn rewards for accomplishments.
