Questions & Answers

The only thing that separates this from the boye long loom set, and the authentic knitting board with peg extenders, 28-inch is the size How many inches? How much better is one over the other?

There is 5/8 the space between the pegs for bulky yarns (5) and super bulky yarns (6) in the boye set. You also can use regular worsted weight yarn (4) instead of the narrower KB. Depending on what you are making and the yarn you are using, you may want to use a thicker yarn. Considering the price of the Boye (plastic) looms, they are fine for me. There is nothing exceptionally spectacular to report. Breaking the pegs and loosening them is easier than they used to be. I like the quality of the wood and the decent pegs in the KB. In addition to the 28" with extenders loom for sweaters and blankets, the 18" AIO loom for shawls and medium sized items, and the sock looms (all 3), I have several KB looms. As a matter of fact, I prefer Cindwood looms, but they are expensive for me, so KB is my second choice. This isn't to say that In my opinion, they are on the lower end of the scale. In addition to all of that, you will need to consider how much you will use your loom. Heavy use is given to mine. Knitting can be very time-consuming, which is why I knit 10 sweaters, 2 afghans, 20 pairs of socks and slippers, 10, shawls, and close to 100 baby items per

What I am unclear about is how many looms I will be receiving. The 18-inch looks like it's in terrific shape Two inch looms, one round loom, and two sock looms were used for these socks. That's right, is it not?

There is nothing wrong with that, it is just the 18-month mark The loom is one inch wide (unless you get a fab bundle along with it. I am 18 years old The 18-inch loom has sliders in it, so you can use it as a sock loom, a round loom in single knit, as well as an 18-inch loom in double knit. This double-sided rectangle measures two inches long A knitted garment.

Is it possible to knit a blanket or a throw for a child?

Those look like they would both be doable to knit. The Facebook page of GoodKnitKisses can be a good resource. Fortunately, the lady at the store is an expert in knitting boards and looms and knows more than I do.

A loom almost identical to this one that is automated or has a crank would be ideal. I have no idea why my thumb aches from flipping the stitches over and over again. ?

On YouTube, I saw an antique loom that was operated by a crank. As far as I know, no one makes one like that currently. It would be great if that were the case Exactly one pair of socks can be made with a crank in 40 or 45 minutes, if I recall correctly! Having read your question, I decided to do some research on whether such a thing is available for purchase and currently being made.

The game is fun to use and easy to understand
5/5

It's amazing how well this knitting loom works! It is so slow compared to crochet that I've always wanted to learn to knit. I started learning a little bit myself, but find it difficult to do. This knitting board is perfect for me since I don't have to worry about dropping stitches, and I can double knit on It has been used to make a huge amount of dish towels that I use every day. I am able to make them in just about any size you want and they are soft, absorbent, and pretty. With this yarn, I have made several knitted hats and even a cover for the vinyl seat in the bus I drive in the summertime. My back starts sweating almost as soon as I sit down on the bus seat, so I've used this yarn in several other projects. As a result, I didn't have this problem this summer, since I was covered in a loom knitted seat cover. When you watch a movie and relax while knitting with this board, it's easy to loom knit. I find that knitting double and triple on this loom is especially relaxing and almost hypnotic. For your viewing pleasure, here are photos of a few of my loom knit dishtowels.

I love you all, KB - We're in the midst of it! The versatile and affordable nature of this product is wonderful
5/5

The 18" loom is fantastic, and I'm extremely happy with it. With it, I'm knitting this double keyhole shawl using double knit /rake /knitting board knitting. *Which means you can also knit in the round with it or use it for flat knitting. This knitting tool is so versatile. It comes with a yarn hook and spacers for double knitting, as well as end sections for flat knitting or round knitting. My options are now even greater thanks to the KB site, where I ordered extenders. The housing is well constructed and not too heavy. It is well made and very sturdy. Personally, I feel this is a considerably better and more affordable option than a CinDWood loom -- This is because they are expensive, heavy, and limited in versatility, and because the top of the pegs on those looms is so large that it is harder to knit over them. As a big fan of KB looms, I say I'm glad you've been reading my blog!.

The only problem is that the adjustment holes are very tight! It had been years since I used the circular plastic looms, but I wanted to upgrade to something a bit I am in love with this board
5/5

This set of pegs has a small gauge, which makes it perfect for sewing socks, animal toys, etc. that require a smaller gauge. There is literally no limit to what you can make with this board, from huge blankets to small tubes.

If you are used to the large plastic looms, it may take some getting used to the smaller pegs with thin In my experience, taking the hook from the top and scooping the yarn over is the easiest way to do it. In addition, keep in mind not to wind the yarn too tightly, as you really do not need to do so to keep your gauge looking good, and it will make your project difficult to work on. One of the issues with this board I had was that I found the adjustment holes drilled into the board to be extremely tight when I received it. To thread the metal pegs back into their holes, I had to use a hammer. The board seemed to be so tight that my husband could not even pull them out with his hands! I contacted the company and they said the tightness was normal, and that it should diminish over time, but they offered to send me a replacement board anyhow. While I thought that was a nice gesture, rather than have it replaced, I just got some sandpaper and spent a few minutes sanding the holes until the metal pegs could slide The board is absolutely one million percent wonderful!

In summary, I think it's fantastic! Most of the time, I end up replacing all my other looms, knitting needles, and do-it-yourself tools with this one We have fathers. The traditional method is pleasing, but this method is easier on my hands (remember not to wrap the.

The loom is beautifully made and versatile for projects that involve single strand #4 yarn
5/5

I can't think of a better adjustable loom than this. A superbly made product The wood is perfected, and all of the pegs and fittings are of the highest quality. Two bolt lengths for the length of the long pieces and the various widths in between. To use them, you will need wood pieces that have been drilled out for you to place in between the long boards without pegs and the wider ones that have five pegs on them which you will use for making a round item. Although you can make a sock on this loom, because the board is that long, it can be cumbersome to have to turn all the time to work around it. In the event that I were going to make socks on a loom, I would choose the shorter sock loom made by Knitting Board. *BR>*BR>Another reason to love this loom is that you can enlarge the thread size by using the single strands of #4 worsted weight yarn as opposed to the bulky weight or double strands of #4 yarn needed for In addition to weaving, the loom is also good for embroidery. A company called Knitting Board also makes pieces of 12" length with bolts on the ends so that they can be combined to make a rectangle measuring 12" by 18". Using the wing nuts already included with the All in One board, you would be able to mount these pieces to the long board. These pieces are sold separately and would be an inexpensive way to start.

This product has been great
5/5

I received the product as advertised with all the bolts and spacers. mostly used the Knifty Knitter looms, and while they are very useful, I find the All in One Loom to be a lot easier to use. There is something to be said for the strength of the wooden loom, and the smooth strong pegs are equally attractive. In addition to keeping yarn from snagging, the pegs also prevent tangling. Once the bolts had been inserted into the holes once or twice, they worked just fine. So far I am loving the product. I only wish I had purchased the 28 inch Authentic Knitting Board in addition to this one since that can handle a larger range of projects. This is a great loom if you're interested in doing scarves, hats, socks, etc. As a rule of thumb, if you plan to sew afghans, blankets, and sweaters, I would choose the 28" knitting board. The idea of having both is appealing to me. Whatever be the case, I believe this is the better loom than the Knifty Knitter.
