To make a man's hat, I use the orange loom (80 pegs). A size 48 fit him perfectly ). He had nine points after I made his. The brim is 5 inches long (including the hem). My favorite loom (72 pegs) is the white loom. I typically make my hats 9 inches (including the brim) in length because it appears too long for a little kid, but the slouchy style is in and they will grow into it. It is best to use the purple loom (64 pegs) for youth. I make these hats on a size 7 loom. It is usually about 5" to 8" depending on the length of the These looms are amazing and I bought two sets so that I could share with friends my love of loom knitting. Thank you so much for your help. I wish you all the best this month.
That's right. You can do it. It does not matter what size the loom is - the diameter of the hat/knit is very different. This gauge results in a knit that is considerably tighter. By using the small loom and either eWrap stitch or Knit stitch with about eight rows per inch, you can make a nice little baby hat. loom knits a much smaller gauge/has a tighter knit than the other plastic looms on the market. Using either a single strand of medium weight (4) yarn or a double strand of fine weight/baby (2) yarn will work.
The set of looms I have won't work with bulky yarn. There is a space between the pegs of 3/8 inch, so you can use a maximum of 3/16 inch yarn. That's what I'm hoping to help you with.
In the purple, there are 64 pegs, in the grey, there are 72 pegs, and in the orange, there are

They are looms I got to weave lighter weight thread on. There are a couple of reasons why these looms are a bit challenging to use. First, I prefer a tie on peg because I can use it for my "end of circle guide" as well as to tie the thread on when you start (granted, a slip knot can also be used). The yarn also easily slips off the end. The top isn't ridged enough, so the yarn is easy to slip off. There may need to be some painting to make one peg stand out, or you may want to use a marking device. I do like how all the looms are marked. It's perfect for any vertical pattern, such as those on the brim of a hat. As I am learning how to use a bigger pegged loom, I have not made a hat with these yet. It is not a loom I would attempt to learn on. Since I bought my loom kit from Big Lots, I didn't have to send it back, and I was glad I bought a larger kit to try. It is advisable to be careful when purchasing kits, as not all looms come with even-numbered Despite the fact that this set comes with good instructions, I would still watch videos on YouTube to learn how to use it. There are several patterns in this book, ranging from beginner to intermediate, and I like that they give you some instructions for three hats and a scarf.
I have never used a round loom like this before! With this loom, I do not need to double the yarn to make anything, as I can use just one strand of yarn. The time and money I save is great! It could not be more highly recommended!.
It's great to have looms like these. As I have been using the larger spacing looms, I have been doubling my yarn. yarns are so easy to work with since the size is so small. This is a very sturdy product. Counting was only possible with the side peg, which I used as a visual for when I was starting.
The weaving loom. This is an excellent product. A round KB Premium loom is what I really like to use. A set of 3 looms is included and they are built of sturdy plastic. There are three kinds of patterns a purple 64 peg loom, a white 72 peg loom, and an 80 peg large loom, as well as a pamphlet with basic stitches and patterns. There is not much information in the instruction pamphlet, but on the KB website you can find many tutorial videos and even This machine has pegs that are spaced at 3/8' apart, which makes it good for worsted weight yarn and perhaps sport weight yarn as well. The orange and white looms I used and the worsted-weight yarn I used to create 2 hats. WHEN IT COMES TO STITCHES, DIFFERENCE MATTERS! My hat was a medium in size and was knit on a large orange loom with true knit and purl stitches They fit my head very snugly and were much tighter than I expected. If flat stitches and u stitches were used, the hat would have been too tight to fit an adult. On the white medium loom, I used e wrap stitches and the hat is comfortable for wearing on a medium to large adult head. That's the deal. Hats can be made in different sizes besides small, medium, and large. The round knitting loom can also be used for flat panels, scarves, and a range of other There is a stamped KB logo at the bottom of each loom, as well as a number of pegs on each my marked tarting peg to determine where it should be placed. You will notice that these looms do not have a side-anchor peg, but you can either place a stitch marker on peg #1 or mark the loom with some kind of marker. The pegs are closer together, so completion time is longer since they overlap. It doesn't bother me that extra time is required because I prefer a lighter gauge for most projects. If you are looking for a knitting loom, this would be a fantastic addition to your.
Weaving is a great art. The 3/8" gauge creates a very nice stitch and they are so easy to handle. look forward to using them despite my preference for smaller gauge looms and after having bought and worked on many looms, I believe these are the best. They are sturdy, no loose pegs, no bending, and really seem to work well. In addition to this, I have the 28" all in one loom, which I simply adore, and a 10* that is super cute. I almost consider these looms to be pet looms that are fun to work on and I can take them anywhere (I use both KB looms are my favorite looms, so that's no surprise.
I am so glad that Authentic Knitting Board has a hat loom that I can use for knitting single yarn items with worsted weight yarn with a small gauge. Despite my fat head, I can fit onto the largest orange loom. I have only owned it for 4 days and have already made my first email The wrap hat looks great and the knit is a smaller gauge. My previous wood peg hat loom would catch the yarn on the pegs. The pegs on this one offer a nice feel and are smooth. As there is no guide peg on the loom, you need to use either a stitch marker on your starter peg or you can use masking or gaffer's tape to mark your start. To get started, use a slip knot to cast on to the first peg. I did not notice any shift in the pegs as I worked on my first project. They are solidly set in.
My favorite thing about these looms is the small gauge! This set comes in three different sizes, which allows you to make many different items. With its large size, these looms come in a size that fits most adult hats. They are strong These have held up very well to several projects I have made on them. In addition to being lighter, they make it easier for me to work with them as my older somewhat arthritic hands and wrists can handle them better than the heavier wooden ones. One of the best sets of looms I own!.
