Questions & Answers
There are four different shapes on each of the four mandrels. Each has the following smallest size: Round: 0mm; Triangle: 0mm; Square: 0mm; Oval: 0mm x 5. 0mm.
ToolsGS offers the following options:
HTH- PL3SET: HTH-HTH-HTH-HTH-HTH-HTH-HTH-HTH-HTH-HTH-HTH-HTH-H PLSET: HTH-HTH-HTH-HTH-HTH-HTH-HTH-HTH-HTH-HTH-HTH-HTH-H HTH-PL46 and PL46 PL47: Multi- Ring Looping Pliers are a step in the process of making a ring. For smaller loop diameters, use PL46, and for larger loop diameters, use PL47. The cutting tools you buy should be suitable for the type of wire you intend to work with.
The triangle's largest measurements are: 3/16 inch (30. 0mm); circle: 1/16" (27.4 mm) 6mm); square: 98" (25. 1mm); oval 1- 1/8" x 7/8" (29.8 mm x 29.8 mm x 29.8 mm 1 x 23. 3mm)
Unless you're wrapping wire around a mandrel and then sliding it over a pendant, I'd say no. The mandrel is intended to be wrapped and then used once the wire has been removed. I can see a couple of ways you could "might" be able to wrap the pendant directly, but it would be time consuming.

Because they're plastic, I planned to use them only for light gauge wire, but they work great with even 14 AWG bare copper when dead soft. br>br>I can't use the interchangeable handle to hold the mandrels because it feels awkward, which could be due to my small hands. I have, however, used the handle as a mandrel on a couple of occasions. br>br>Plastic with a long life span. Tugging to tighten doesn't make it fall apart. I was pleasantly surprised by all of them, and I use them all on a regular basis. br>br>I wouldn't use a hammer, but I have used a soft mallet with the 14g on a couple of occasions.
As others have stated, the concept is excellent, but the execution is so poor that it is useless to me. br>br>The largest gauge wire that can bend to the shapes' corners is 22g. br>br>There are no holes or other means of preventing the wire end from slipping as you try to pull it tight to form the shape. br>br>The plastic is thin and bendable, as well as slick, allowing the wire to slide around. br>br>The "handle" is absurdly small and made of thin plastic. It's too small to grasp in order to get the leverage I need, and it's too flimsy to hold in a vise. br>br>If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this product is for you.
- metal-based – even thick enough aluminumbr> Each step had a hole for the wire end to be held in. br>- lacked a slick surfacebr>br>- possessed a wooden or metal handle capable of being clamped into a vicebr>- These things would allow me to use larger wire gauges as well. br>br>I'm probably going to return this because I bought it to speed up production on some shaped wire hoops I make and it's only slowed me down so far.
I was hesitant to purchase a plastic mandrel, but this one turned out to be excellent. The square foundation is appealing to me. It keeps it from rolling off the table while also providing a place for your thumb to rest. It was a great price, and it inspired me to create shapes and designs I hadn't previously considered.
I didn't have to pay much more than $7. This item cost me $00, and it has completely changed the way I work with wire. Despite the fact that the components are plastic, I have had no problems using up to 16 gauge copper wire. It allows a person to make matching earring base forms in seconds, a task that used to take a long time for me, especially because I am such a perfectionist. Each mandrel is designed so that the bottom piece can be shared among the four mandrels. That piece would be much better if it was flat. bottomed, but that's just my personal taste. I've labeled the steps on each mandrel with numbers to make it easier to remember which one I'm on, especially when making matching components. I was concerned that the plastic would be too flimsy to withstand the tension I was applying as I wrapped the wire, but I have had no problems so far. It's a great item at a great price!.
br>The cost was a fraction of what it would have cost in a local store. It is very sturdy and simple to use due to the high quality of the materials. br>The various mandrill shapes allow you to create the desired shapes and bends in a variety of sizes. br>The detachable handle easily switches from mandrill to mandrill, providing a secure grip for your tools. br>Because of its ease of use and usefulness in working with wire, I would strongly recommend this product.
This is a fantastic set of unique tools. I came across it while looking for something else, and I was getting ready to make my own mandrels for an item I was working on. This was much larger than I had anticipated, and the variety of shapes is incredible. I believe it will work well for my ideas, and it has actually given me some new ones that I hadn't considered before. In case no one else has done so, I've included the sizes in case they can assist someone in making a decision. From the base flange to the small end, all of the mandrel bits are 100mm long. The Triangle is made up of three parts. The Circle: 30mm on all sides, the Circle: 30mm on all sides, the Circle: 30mm on all The Square is 27mm in diameter and has the following dimensions: The oval is 25mm across and 25mm on each side, and the square is 25mm across and 25mm on each side. 29X23mm. I bought two, one for myself and the other for a friend who I thought might be interested in making jewelry with it.
The product is of poor quality and is incapable of performing its function. I'm very dissatisfied with this product because the plastic it's made of is extremely light-weight. It's almost as if it's made of flimsy materials. It actually caves and bows under the pressure of my grip, resulting in misshapen wrapped wire (for jewelry making). On the square/triangle mandrels, precise creases/bends are impossible. With so many options for plastic and other synthetic materials, I'm not sure why these mandrels aren't built to last. This is a product that I do not recommend.
This is something that I could have done without. I was hoping for triangles, but the rings are extremely rounded despite having edges. It's also a very light plastic, which surprised me because I was expecting it to be a little heavier. It works, but not in the way I had hoped.
