It's a little more difficult because they don't have any sort of grip.

The largest gauge I've ever used was 14 gauge, and it was extremely difficult to work with.

Is it possible to use it as a ring on your fingers?

No, the largest area is a circle of 10 mm in diameter. Perhaps a pinky ring.

These are well-made, have a comfortable comfort grip, and are reasonably priced; they work well for making bails of various sizes. Other than that, I use these for wire bending. This purchase has exceeded my expectations in terms of letter formation, etc.

I guess they assume you know what you're doing if you buy these. They haven't met me, to tell you the truth. These were purchased to assist with the construction of whirlygigs. Attachments required loops to be made on thin hard wire. These are exactly what I was looking for, and they're simple to use.
