It doesn't work that way with the rings. It's possible to use the stick, but not if you're buying rings based on their quarter sizes. They're in the half-size range. I had to learn the hard way.
Dear friend, here is the mandrel with four different measuring sizes: The ring guage with 0-size, American size (US), Hong Kong size (HK), Japanese size (m/m), European size (CU), and the ring guage with 0-size are all used to measure your ring size. They are both accurate and simple to use. 15 US Standard Size corresponds to the US size on the ring mandrel that is used to measure your finger size.
Because of the difference in measurement, the ring can be worn over the top of your finger. If you are a size 7, this is the shoe for you. When you place your size 7 ring on the spindle, it will rest on the line that says. However, if the ring's circumference was EXACTLY the same as the spindle's, the ring would slide down onto the 7-inch spindle. The spindle has a line on it. The spindle is a fraction of an inch smaller than the ring. Put one of your rings on and see what you think. Then try on the measurement rings until you find one that FEELS similar to your ring in terms of fit.
AND. Place your ring on the spindle and slide it on. If you have a 7 on your finger, your ring will slide down the spindle to the 7-hole. line.. The flesh on your finger is accommodated by the measurement discrepancy. br>I hope this has been of some assistance. If you're looking for a unique way to
These also come with two flat sides for European sizes. I chose the option that includes both the metal and wood mandrels, but the metal still has two flat sides. As a result, I start with the metal and work my way to the wood for sizing. I wish I'd noticed it had a flat side because it affects the wire's roundness.

It's funny how many people are unhappy with this product; after all, it's only $12. Why would you purchase this if you're a professional jeweler? br>br>It's perfect for what I need it to be, which is why I was looking for something inexpensive. If you're going to use it in a lathe, professional mandrels can cost anywhere from $90 to $200. What you pay for is exactly what you get. Cheers!.
I've been using another mandrel for ten years and have sold hundreds of rings with no complaints about sizing, but when I compare sizes with this mandrel, they're a quarter size smaller! Which is the case!! To see if it's accurate, I'll have to take it to a jeweler and compare it to theirs. If it turns out to be accurate, I'll revise my review to a higher star rating! br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I had it checked, and the mandrel and rings are clearly not correct: (Unfortunately, I waited too long to return them, and now I'm stuck with these useless items!) This helps to explain why they were so inexpensive in comparison to the other metal sizers. I strongly advise you to avoid them at all costs - I wish there was a way for me to get them back.
This item was purchased so that my wife and I could get current ring sizes. It's a well-made, long-lasting, and simple-to-use product. It was delivered on time and in good condition. Metal is used for the post as well as the rings. It has an aluminum feel to it. The sizes are easily read and printed on the ring stems. This is something I would recommend to anyone looking for a measuring device of this type.
The rings themselves were fine, but the tool that you're supposed to use to put rings on to straighten out any warps is completely useless. The ring can't be made round because of two indents on opposite sides. I also needed it so that I could size wire-wrapped rings, which can't be made round because the wire indents. Useless! And, because the sides of the indents are sharp, I ended up slicing my finger when it slipped out of my hand. Horrible quality; unless you only want the rings that come with it, look elsewhere. The only reason it received two stars is because of those rings.
The tool was delivered on time and appears to be of good quality. We tried on a few different rings and found that the sizing is correct. We're ready to place the order now that we've double-checked her ring size.
I liked that it came as a set, but I despise the mandral; I'm short and have small hands, so it's just too small for me! The ring sizer is cool, if a little confusing, but it's nice to have, and the mandral is something I despise. Because of its short length, I find it difficult to use it when making wire wrapped rings.
I bought this set (which includes the wand) primarily for the wand. I needed a precise measuring device for the rings I already owned and those I had purchased. For example, I recently ordered a ring with a wider band, despite the fact that I normally wear a size 6 1/2. Because of the width of the band, I ordered a size 8, and the ring bag said size 8 - It was, however, a size 6 - The ring wand sizer confirmed it. I really like the wand - I'm disappointed with the ring I discovered to be too small - But it was good to know I wasn't the only one! The wand isn't particularly heavy - aluminum? I'm pleased with my purchase, and I appreciate having a backup measurement tool.
This item is off by a significant amount. After ordering a ring, I got a ring that was a size 25, and it gave me a lot of headaches. It even says so in the description, which I didn't notice until after I'd already placed my order for my partner's ring.
