There wouldn't be any hypoallergenic properties in this. If you want to try fine silver, you should try stainless steel.

It is silver plated Wire plated with copper is suitable for certain applications, but not necessarily for Wrapping gemstones with it is my favorite use for it. Silver plating wears off too quickly, so the only problem is that it comes When I make a pendant from a gemstone to wear on a chain around my neck, I notice that the silver has worn off after a few weeks, leaving the copper wire. To fix this I have switched to stainless steel wire. It doesn't solder as easily as silver. There is no plating on the copper wire, so it retains its silver tone.
When I purchased this product the first time, I received the right gauge (22g), and it works perfectly. In this order, I received a spool of 22g wire with a 20g sticker over the top. What did I say that was misleading? I've been using this product for quite some time and I love it- If you email technical support, they must have sent you the wrong product. No beads fit on the wire now ( The return will be in the near future.

The listing did not specify that it's hard, and not half hard wire. If the listing had detailed that it was half hard wire, we would not have ordered it.

This is the perfect wire to wrap beads with, beautiful bright silver color, supple and very soft. The wire is very large, so you get a lot for the price.
I think most of us who have beaded for a while agree that the artistic wire is superior to these other wires. My favorite part is the fact that the color stays brighter and longer than most. I like using this kind and it's a good way to practice before using more expensive ones.
