This is a very durable and flexible beating wire that I really like, but it's overpriced like everything else in the jewelry-making world. Fishing wire will do the job, but if you want it to be silver, this is the way to go. You'll need crimping beads and covers to finish the job, but it's very flexible. This isn't what you're looking for if you're looking for something to tie into a knot. However, if you're looking for a way to make durable costume jewelry, this is a great option.
I needed some stringing material for a multistrand necklace I was working on. I knew I needed something with a very small diameter because I planned to use freshwater pearls in the necklace. This was advertised as being suitable for freshwater pearls, and it proved to be so. It went through all of the holes in every one I strung. It also worked well for the much larger diameter beads I was stringing with the pearls. br>br>I used some 2 x 2 mm crimp tubes and they worked great, holding it in place. This appears to be extremely powerful. br>br> I cut it with wire nippers because that's what I had on hand, but it won't rip or break if you don't use them (it's a bundle of wires, after all). Scissors, too, I believe, would suffice. In my finished piece, it drapes nicely and does not kink. br>br>I purchased the 30 foot spool because it was the only one available and I needed it right away. But I'm satisfied enough with it that the next time I need it, if I can find one, I'll get a larger spool.
This is my favorite wire for beading necklaces because it's flexible, easy to manipulate, and has clasps at both ends. Unlike others, it only happens very rarely. I've tried a few brands, but this brand and weight wire work best for my necklaces.
Excellent quality, which is both durable and adaptable. I was looking for a very thin, heavy-duty, flexible jewelry wire and found it here. I will buy from you again.
It is neither too thick nor too thin; it is just right. Thank you so much; it's delicate but powerful. 10 pound weight test.
Because it's so good, it's the only brand of bracing wire I'll use.
String beads, particularly small gemstones and pearls, look great with this wire. The crimp bead is easily folded over. I'll place another order.
Although the wire is very flexible, it is not known how long it will last when compared to nylon fish line.
