The tip should be placed in the B Slot, there should be additional adhesive on the mat. This will create the effect of a deep cut.

Could anyone let me know if they have used this with a Air 2 and what they think?

Having purchased this product but not being able to use it yet, sorry I will try today and let you know. I have the Cricut Maker as well as Explore 2, so I will also try and let you know how the experience goes.

All the parts of this tool are one piece. It is not possible to interchange tips.

My Cricut explore air 2 is equipped with this software and I purchased it to use What I expected happens exactly as it should. In order to get darker engraving, I ran this tip a couple of times and watched a few YouTube videos on how to do it. Please note that once you purchase this and place it in your Cricut machine it voids your warranty** If you do not know that, please just follow the instructions.

Detail on acrylic is very fine

I found this to be a fantastic experience. While I have the Maker's engraving and etching tip blade, I prefer this one. It seems to be more precise and only one round is needed to achieve the desired outcomes. The fine tip blade came up great when I used this in place of the fine tip blade for the learn mat. A blank template file for the metal blanks that came with the tool would have been nice. One star) I will update the review once I use it on steel.
