In order for steam and smoke to vent when the hood is on and cold air not to blow back into the house when the hood is off, there is a damper flap.
You are the one I think. The range hood is made in China and I know the fan was made there. I have no problems with this range hood and I would recommend it to anyone on a budget.

It was nice at first, though one of the screens often falls out, but it finally stopped working after about three It was far A NEW UPDATE After I made this complaint, customer service responded quickly and sent me a new motor, which was easy to install. Now, the machine is working as it should. No 5-star evaluation because the software should not have stopped working at first however, they do receive a 4-star evaluation because the problem has been solved Even though the device was out of warranty, the company acted actively and did not charge me.
I really enjoyed replacing the decrepit range hood in my older house, which had been in use for more than 20 years. The hood was less expensive than those sold at big-box stores, so I am glad I bought it based on the There were much larger and much more expensive models on display at the big box stores that look just as nice and are just as quiet. I had no trouble installing the program. The bulb I use is a common 75 watt LED equivalent. There is very little heat loss from this bulb and it is much cheaper to replace than halogen bulbs that often come with more expensive Thanks to this fan, you can choose four different ways of exhausting. I discovered the old fan only exhausted into the unfinished attic upon taking it down. This does not apply to outside environments. Hence, it is not a good idea to engage in such activity. So instead of cutting a hole in the roof and extending the vent to the outside, I opted to install it without ductwork and with a charcoal filter.
It has been a year since we redid our kitchen (mostly). We have always lived in the house built in the 70's, so we still have the wood floors and walls. Laminate cabinets, laminate counters, laminate flooring, black microwave hanging over the range, etc. Furnished in a dark color due to the fact that the kitchen is located in the middle of the home. Having painted all the cabinets white, removed the monster of a microwave, and now needing to fill that space, we decided to do some painting. We started looking into range hoods since I liked the idea of not having to duck down to see what I was cooking on the back burner. Due to the fact that every home project ends up costing more than anticipated due to newly discovered problems, we needed a budget friendly range hood that allowed rectangular ducts at the top and was made by a brand we were familiar with. In researching various brands and models, as well as comparing prices from several stores, we came to this decision. I have been very impressed with her, she has been fantastic. The range hood is probably more of a dream come true to me than it is to others, but coming from a dark, dirty, and broken/dead microwave to such a bright, spacious range hood is something I cannot explain. It probably was installed in March or April 2017 and I have been cooking with it every single day since then (I appreciate the extra illumination when I cook). I love the fan because it gets rid of the steam right away. haven't burned anything yet to the point where there is actual smoke that needs to be sucked out, but I only use cast iron for cooking. When I cook steak or fry some chicken, there is a puff of smoke that comes up, but it quickly disappears. In my house, I mostly use the fan when I make pasta, cook noodles, and make pesto at least once a week. Doesn't get my cabinets above the stove all wet from condensation, and keeps the kitchen clean. As for the thing I love, I haven't faced any problems and would highly recommend it.
There is no filling in the seam of the stainless steel and it looks like there is a permanent mess waiting to happen. In the same boat as the lightbulb is the bare bulb. DUCTLESS LOUVERS are covered by a plastic plate that is ill-fitting and does not stay on. Additionally, it's a generic cheap plastic that's almost certainly the same for any finish. Duct tape would be ideal, so why not? This leads to the same results.
Sheet metal corner bends are sharp and protruding sharp ends of sheet metal screws are to be avoided. If it had been manufactured in stainless steel, its best feature would have been its finish. Although, the front surface of the completed construction did not appear to have been polished or ground by the spot weld scabs. *Lastly, the motor whines and the high pitch is annoying on high speed, which means it is The product was designed and manufactured with no pride whatsoever. It was an absolute scam.
The hood arrived with just a faint dent on the front edge just above the I installed it because my wife thought it was barely noticeable. Over the course of two weeks, it was always to the left of me when I walked past it. A moment later, it was as if it had As I wrote this review, I was just thinking of it. My suspicion is that UPS wasn't supposed to handle the shipping box. When the breaker to the old hood was turned off, the new power connection could be stripped and connected to the existing plug after it was turned off. It should be noted that the hood will ship hardwired. In the case of a new installation intended to be plugged in, you will need to purchase a plug adapter A recirculated air flow was available on the old hood. My goal was to make my projects the most challenging possible, so I ran a new vent through the roof. It is securely mounted in the knockouts for the roof vents. pretty much the force of a horse to knock them out, causing the hood to warp. As soon as it's installed you won't notice it. It is supposed to clip on the outside of the hood when vented through the roof if the black plastic internal vent cover is used. As a result of reaching into the vent duct, I was able to mount the plastic cover internally. It looked cheesy to me when the front of the hood was made out of black plastic. Despite its small size, the hood looks stylish from a distance of 6'. It would appear at a 5' vantage point that the underside of the building still needs some finishing. There was no big problem with that. It's good to keep this in mind since there is an option for a stainless steel finished underside. We were able to properly upgrade our new appliances at a cheap, simple, and effective price.
I looked under the hood and found that the facia was intact, the buttons worked properly, and all other external parts were unharmed. There was a problem with the fan housing and the My parts were bent but I straightened them out and installed it with no problem.
Despite its small size, the fan does a great job, looks great, and has great illumination when equipped with a good LED bulb. If I had the choice, I would not buy from Amazon again. My prime savings is great, but I don't want you to deal with the headache of having to return the box once it.
