Consequently, here are a few of the good things Our new vent hood matches our GE slate stove nicely, and the slate color is attractive as well. I also like how quiet the fan is, and how bright the LED lighting is. There is however only one brightness level for this light. Additionally, there is no filter attached to the unit so that it can be used in a ventless environment! Our search on Amazon resulted in the discovery of some charcoal filters that fit (after some trial and error), but they cost almost $50. If you plan to use this as a ventless unit, you will also need to factor this into the price.
It arrived on time, was packed well, and there were no damages. Yesterday, I installed the update. Installing Fiance is fairly straightforward since it has a lot of handy features. In the end, after reading all the instructions, he removed the plate for the in-house duct. A rough idea of what he needed to do was formed in his mind. In order to install the hood, he held it in place, I marked the holes, he drilled the holes, and then I A complete wiring connection has been made. LED lights look awesome, they are quiet, and they are very bright. The whole top of the stove is illuminated. A range hood installed when the house was built in 1977 was probably replaced by this. I'm so glad this worked out for you. Please note Addendum Added the charcoal filters to my order. I tried to post a picture, but there was no option to do so. I am able to edit, and I am able to add pictures.
I finally got it to work with the third one. Reviewing all the comments on this exhaust fan, we found them to be quite positive. Despite knowing there were some issues with the product, we decided to take a chance. As far as exhaust fans were concerned, we were very happy with our old broan exhaust fan because it had everything you could possibly need. It was a great fan until the fan switch became stuck in the on position and my handy husband could not My decision to buy this fan was based on three factors it was quiet, I could see all of the screens inside, and it had LED Our first one was ordered and installed by my husband. We removed the light fixture and fixed the unattached wires, but the lights no longer worked. Our first attempt at testing it didn't work so we returned it for a second attempt. As soon as it arrived, the second one was tested before installation. A second time, the lights don't work, so we open the cover to make sure the wires are all connected. Despite calling two times, Broan customer service did not answer the phone for two days. They didn't seem to care about the problems we were having with their exhaust fan, so they kept putting us on hold for another representative. We told them they should pull the product because of issues with the wiring, and they said they'd look into the situation. In the meantime, we are looking for a low noise, led, under cabinet exhaust fan, but so far we have not had any Our second one was sent back, and a third one was ordered. I have finally managed to get this one to work. My favorite part is that the lights are bright and LED. There is no noise from the exhaust fan and it works beautifully. Though I miss my old fan, I'm quite pleased with this replacement as long as I don't switch over all my appliances to stainless steel.
GE slate microwave was replaced by this hood range because it wasn't able to cope with the heat and cooking smoke in the kitchen. It was very easy to install. Fits perfectly with our 7 year old slate GE appliances. Although it took a few attempts to match up with the outside vent, the light is bright and the fan is quiet but efficient. We are delighted with the replacement. My family and I are so happy that we decided to have a new kitchen as part of our remodel. There is only one light setting on this unit, and that is my only complaint. It would be nice to have a less bright option.
I guess I'm okay, even though the boxes were undamaged, the filters looked like someone had put their knee through them. It was no cost to me to get new filters, but they were also bent, and I had to move them back in. The problem still persists.
The led lights are too far forward and shine on the burner controls (too bright), so it is difficult to read the numbers on the knobs, and the rocker switch is made of cheap plastic that sticks out of the hole. This is what it looks like after I can see how taking it down is a two person job and you don't want to do it. There's quite a bit of noise from the fan, and the stainless looks good. The new hood is nicer looking than the old one, but I wish the light screwed in like the cheaper versions have! Broan, I wish you would provide your product with the same quality switches that were in the 20 year old hood this replaced. I like how they fit and work- (That would be about This morning, I got to wear my hood!.
Compared to our old one, this one looks much better and is much quieter. I am pleased with the double filter, and the lighting is not too much, as others have warned. The color is not exactly what I would call black stainless, as my other appliances are, but it still looks beautiful. Slate gray finish with a matte finish. This model's on/off button is on the underside, and it also does not show every speck of dust like my shiny black one. It has been a very positive experience.
This is a great Product is very easy to install and looks great. A ground and two wires are all that need to be installed. There is a possibility that you will not need Replacing the holes on top under the cabinets is as simple as screwing them back up. I found it easy to do. A total of two people should be enlisted to help with lifting. Also, make sure the circuit breaker is off and buy a live wire tester if you want to be safe. During my installation, it took no more than 30 minutes. The charcoal filters must be bought as a set if you are doing ductless.
