Turtle Beach Ear Force Recon 50 Gaming Headset for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, & PC/Mac

I ordered it on April 20th, it arrived on April 24th, and I started using it on April 25th. It would be an understatement to say that I am upset! In the past, I bought this brand and they lasted over a year, but this one didn't last even The things I have on my computer aren't religiously used every day, but I do play them several times a week and take good care of my computer. It is not possible to make a return with the packaging I have, nor is there a way to contact the seller other than to give a review. Despite having a working microphone, my headphones have stopped working and I cannot hear any sound.

I really like this Are you a fan of hardcore gaming? The answer is probably no. Plug these in and you are done there is no charging, no fuss. Although it does not have active noise canceling, it is still able to My ears aren't hearing anything when these are As compared to cheaper headsets, these are definitely an improvement for my kids. Because there is a foam cover on the mic, it doesn't emit strong ambient noise, even if you and I are in the same room and your recon 200's are It is definitely worth checking out. Since I'm not a professional gamer, I don't play many games. This is just a dude who loves to play Fortnite and GTA V from time to time.

I was looking around for an alternative headset to my last one that didn't break the bank after it died. My main concern was to find a headset that I could wear comfortably for long periods of time, and one with a decent mic for voice chat in co-op games. This is an ops game. After being frustrated trying to get the Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset to work when I first encountered it, I ended up giving up on it. I decided to give the Turtle Beach Ear Force Recon 50 Gaming Headset a try after returning that headset to Amazon based on hearing that Turtle Beach was a great brand. When I got the headset I pulled it out and put it on my PC for some testing. One of the first things I noticed was the detachable mic on the headset. This is a nice perk since there is no need for a mic in your face all the time when you are not using voice. A mini headset with a 5mm jack A mini-jack for headphones and a splitter for a separate mic can also be found I'm a jack. I have found that the original cord length without the splitter was too short for me to use alone since I plug my mic into the back of my computer case. I am currently using the splitter in order to extend it. Thus, I'd like to see these headsets come with a bit longer cord in the future to allow for a bit more versatility. A small toggle box is on the cord itself where you can turn up and down the volume and activate the mic. This is a fairly straightforward process- I prefer this headset to my old one, even though it is a bit smaller. It does not have any USB or 3. 5mm jacks on any part Unlike other headsets, this one is not powered, so it may not have all the fancy features of others, such as noise cancellation. Personally, I didn't think that it mattered all that much to me, and according to the people I play with, my voice comes through clearly without any issues. It is interesting to note that the padding on the ear cups of the headset is relatively thick and soft, and provides good noise isolation, even when a TV is running at a moderate It was quite comfortable wearing them, and I could not think of any one negative thing There is some padding on the top band of plastic, although it is a bit thin. While it is not as thick as I would prefer, I did not experience any issues through prolonged use of the headset, although someone with thin hair may find it important to have a bit of padding.

The plastic that the headset is made of is fairly light, however, and while I've read concerns over how fragile it can be when it comes to the band part, I have not had any issues with it. The headset has even been dropped on the floor a few times without a crack or break. Lastly, the sound that comes from the headset itself is excellent. My gaming needs do not require me to be a sound expert, so the headset provides everything I might need in that area. There is only one problem, and that is the volume is a bit low compared to my old headset, so I have to raise the volume on my PC a bit more than usual. As of now, I haven't tried this headset with my PS4, but I will make sure to update this review when I do. However, I think that this headset is a good one for those gaming on PC, or those who use voice chat frequently, as it provides all the features. Basically, the cable length is the reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars.

Whenever I do solo studio work I get a lot of compliments on how clear my headset sounds. They're comfortable, great sound quality for just $30 and I get a lot of compliments on how clear my mic sounds! Even though there are way better headsets that are priced significantly higher, if you don't want to spend too much money on a headset, these are a great.

This headset seemed like it would fit my gaming setup perfectly, but the padding was a deal breaker for me! I was looking forward to trying it out (detachable mic, ergonomic design, red and black to match my gaming setup), but it just was not comfortable enough! I could not imagine setting down for more than an hour without feeling like the top of the headset was digging into my skull because the head rest is so light and has no real padding on top. part of this headset is the absolutely sticky and unbearable earpads. These are not memory foam but hard, stiff pieces of foam that don't support your ears and hurt your face as soon as you put them In case you have never owned a headset before, you will not know what you are missing, however, for those gamers who are aware of the feeling of poor headsets, even at this price point, this is atrocious. You can purchase a better budget headset with just a few bucks more. After 3 minutes with this headset on my head (never plugged it in), I returned it and bought a Razor Kraken X instead.
