Questions & Answers

Is there a need for direct line of sight to the console for this remote? Do you prefer Kinect or Xbox One?

In short, yes. There must be a line of sight between the Kinect and the controller.

Can I use this with an Xbox One that does not have Kinect?

The Xbox 360 console has an IR receiver, while the Kinect has an IR blaster. Therefore, the Xbox 360 console will work without the Kinect. have been using the Microsoft IR remote with my Xbox that does not have Kinect and it works perfectly. The second Xbox One I have will be getting this one.

Is there a volume control or muted button on the device? While they advertise it as having TV functions, it seems you would need to enter a code in order to do so. ?

No code is needed for volume and mute buttons, as they function normally. Whenever you use these buttons, the remote control should be aimed at the console, not the television.

What are the steps for pairing the Xbox One with your computer?

The program is ready to use right from the start. It is not possible to pair.

This is a fantastic remote control
5/5

The first thing we need to do is debunk the distance myth. You'd probably need to tell me what unit you're using. A Chromebox and a laptop are both connected to FLIRC IR Receiver devices. I love how the buttons program perfectly to what I want and how far away it is. This camera not only has a great distance everywhere I stand, but it also has an amazing range in the infrared. In most cases, you need to point the remote at the receiver in order to initiate In this case, however, I can place it behind my back and face it down toward the couch and still have it function properly. In either case, I can't operate the remote if I completely hide it or cover the front. The fact that it performs better than any other remote of this type I've used makes it hard for me to recommend it highly I have found this to work well with Kodi/XBMC. My current Direct XBox receiver works just fine, but I haven't tested it with a direct XBox receiver yet. The device is light and small enough that you can hold it in your hand (not too light that you feel like you're going to break it). You can now untick all the useless buttons. I do have a few slight complaints that keep it from being spectacular (most new devices do not need number keys or DVD player switches)

There are a few shortcomings that keep it from being perfect. Although the keys are painted brightly enough to be seen in low light, they are not visible under most circumstances. There is no option to change the bright green light on the front. There is nothing more to it than blinking on press. It is at least showing me that it is working, which is all I can ask for. A smaller pad could be used or the entire pad could be brightened up. The whole thing just feels out of control. Then there is. In my opinion, it's a steal at the price (roughly 12 bucks). Take a look, give it a try, and enjoy it!.

I recommend that you do By purchasing this remote, my wife will be able to watch Netflix and Amazon without opening the Xbox One Using the remote to control the console requires you to point it at the console and press the buttons hard
3/5

I suggest you use the remote to watch movies or tv shows unless you need to fast-forward or rewind because you will waste precious moments trying to stop your movie or TV show as it rewinds until you walk toward your console and point the remote at it. Instead of spending $12 on an original remote, I should have paid 12 dollars extra. It irritates me to no end. As much as this remote works under perfect conditions, I did not give it a perfect 1 star rating. The Pros are This is a cheap, compact mouse that works if you are close to your console. It's not too large, however. The button must be pressed very hard and there is a noticeable lag. The distance at which it operates seems to be very short.

Aktuelle Aktualisierung Because it does not work less than a year after purchase, I changed this from a 5-star rating to a 1-star rating. Only half the time do the buttons respond, and sometimes they do things that are completely different from what they are intended I think it's a lot of There is no reason for anyone to buy I really like the functionality of this remote for watching streaming videos like Netflix or Hulu and much more so than the controller. There is an auto-reset function on the controller It used to be that you had to use the on/off feature of the remote, enable it, proceed to connect it, then hit the X button twice to pause any video. It is now a simple case of pointing and clicking. It's that easy. It's very intuitive to navigate the other way around There were no complicated instructions or programming to follow, and I was able to figure out how to use it immediately. The batteries (2 AAA, not included) are all you need to run it. Having read past reviews, I can confirm that you must point the remote directly at the Xbox, but the inconvenience isn't that great when compared to the cumbersome controller. The Xbox brand remote works the same way but for about $10 more expensive. I am very happy with my.

The Xbox Live app is definitely a must-have if you stream on your console
5/5

Recent cord cutting in our household has led to Netflix and Prime video as our sources of video content. As we watched a lot of it using the Xbox, we quickly got tired of having to turn the controller on and off each time it asked us whether we were still watching or if we wanted to pause. It was originally our intention to get a Kinect, so we could order it around, but the price didn't seem to make as much sense, since we didn't expect to ever get any games In the beginning, we found the Microsoft branded remote, and that had some terrible reviews and cost too much, but it showed up in the cart and we have a bunch of off brand controllers from this brand, so for less than $15, it seemed like a good price.

Right out of the box and having fresh batteries, we loved the product. There was no pairing or anything to do, just turn on the Xbox, navigate to Netflix, and you're watching a show without any problems. The distance from the couch to the Xbox is only about 8ft, and it works instantly without any When using the play/pause button, we have only dealt with one problem, which is that it does not want to play if you pause it, so you must press okay instead. As a rule of thumb, we mostly stick with okay, since it's paused and played just fine. We've used it on Prime Video, Netflix, and simply on Additionally, it works well within YouTube as well, with the exception of the play button, but that isn't really an issue and I.

You can charge your game controller while you play games, which is excellent Xbox One is not just a gaming machine for us, but it also serves as a handy multimedia device It is primarily used to make media
4/5

Most of the time, we use it to watch Netflix or Sling TV. I immediately felt comfortable using this remote - it worked immediately. You do not have to set up or sync. Though there is a slight learning curve, the buttons are fairly simple to use with a minimal number of uses. Although the remote is quite light and cheap, it still seems durable enough to handle drops from a short distance, more likely hip level or lower. It's really cool having a light on the bottom blink when you press a key. I find it pretty fun as a guy. In addition to fast forward, rewind, and play/pause, I have easy access to the Home, Menu, and Xbox One Pause (which can be used to close out apps that are not functioning as intended). Though there are a lot of complaints, this product did come with volume up and volume down buttons, and my Phillips Magnavox home theater operated immediately after installation. Neither the channel up nor down buttons have been used. I was able to keep my Xbox One controller on its charger for actual game use, which is my biggest asset. The biggest downside is the sensitivity of the device. I'm approximately 6 feet away from my Xbox One, and there is little to no obstruction, but sometimes it takes more than one click for it to work. Although the price is high and the functionality is limited, I am still very happy with my purchase.
