Questions & Answers

What do you need to do to connect it ?

You are correct. As well as the cable's length, it was quite long.

Do they have a track record of reliability?

It happens that the Mics have a high level of reliability. I have currently had mine for 7 months and it still works great.

Can you include game audio in this? Do you want voice chats or text chats? I appreciate it. ?

You are only talking on the phone. Because of how cheap it is, it would get 10 stars if it had game audio.

Anyway, I guess it's okay
3/5

It does not seem to be a Microsoft genuine product. The quality is low, the controller does not plug securely into the connection, and it does not have the large base that it used to have on Xbox 360's connection. My first impression is that this looks more like an old phone headset than like a gaming device. It has a Microsoft logo on it, but I feel like Microsoft just copped out on this one and said, "eh, it works".

I gave it three stars because the voices can be heard both ways, so I guess it works.

but I need to shout a bit into the microphone to be heard (or for it to pick it Microsoft would do well (as Sony has done with their Playstations) to add a gain setting to the Xbox itself as Sony did with the Playstations
3/5

I was always plagued by mics being either too weak or too loud/too sensitive. It seems most of the affordable headsets come with volume controls on the speakers, but not on the microphone. The situation is very frustrating.

I appreciated the fact that it arrived quickly, was inexpensive, and was a Microsoft headset, so it has all the downfalls that come with it
3/5

Even with very careful handling, this headset won't last very long. The sound is fine, and the mic is fine as well, but you might not be heard since its a newer model, the mute switch is located in an awkward place. Hence, it will do the job and be an excellent option for a kid who needs a mic or for someone who has to carry it around. In addition to this one, you might also want to consider Plantronics since they usually last much longer than this one but are usually $12ish and not.

The headset is really good
4/5

single earpiece is a downside, but that is to be expected from a lower price product. For what it is, it is a very good device. I have been able to get clear quality sound from any party chat or game I've used it for. It's actually surprising how well this microphone performs for such a low price. The headset is a good choice for people who do not want to use speakers, but just want a simple headset that works with the Xbox One.

This is a terrible microphone
3/5

In my opinion, this mic is not a good choice, since it appears to be refurbished or of inferior The first two weeks of Mike's use caused him to pop and crackle. In order to be heard clearly, I had to yell for people to be able to hear me. Low-cost but not durable, this type of microphone is low quality. Having the turtle beach ear force xla headset makes me feel so stupid for buying the OEM mic over and over The mic on this thing sucks, get me.

The headset is basic, but it works well
4/5

Looks like a real Microsoft headset (basic, cheapest one Microsoft sells). There is a Microsoft hologram on it. This item offers a blister pack and plastic bag but does not have a label on it. The package has no makings on it at all. It is a good, basic headset if you don't care about the package. Our kids should be able to use the headset for 18 to 24 months if it lasts as well as the other identical headsets we've had.

I can't think of anything wrong with it
4/5

The headset developed by Xbox is a nice little gadget. By adjusting the volume, you will be able to hear others very clearly. Sometimes it can be difficult for others to heat you, so simply unplug your controller and plug it back in again. After a short period of time, it works The game is not sensitive enough to pick up on the small noises around you, but this does not affect your performance within the game.

Don't hesitate to order this item.

I don't care
3/5

With its comfortable design and no need to attach anything except the controller, it gets the job done and is fairly convenient. Because of the lack of movement, the jack was constantly falling out during gameplay because it was too loosely fitted. In addition, I was receiving complaints from friends that I would drop out while talking and sometimes I would not hear them. However, it was an excellent starter headset. After I realized that I would be using it quite a bit, I bought a Turtle Beach other as I now keep this one for when I am traveling.
