Questions & Answers

What is included here, the headset only, or the transmitter, cables, etc. as well?

You do receive a transmitter and cables with this. It took me a while to figure out how to pair them, but it's easy after you press a pairing button on the headset and the transmitter will beep twice while you're connected

Does it have a wireless connection?

What is wireless based upon the fact that there is no need to run a cord over a 12ft distance? In that case, yes, they are The headset connects to the controller by a 2ft cable, but where is the

Is it powered by batteries or is it rechargeable?

requires batteries, which is kind of silly since you have to hard wire it into your Xbox 360 or other controller to use it for chat. Additionally, it must be hard wired if it is to be used with a PC. It is not truly wireless other than for audio, so to me it is a useless headset. It would be best to find one that does not require batteries. My earbuds were purchased to be used with my laptop, but I found that it doesn't work with the USB port for a microphone or audio input like most other headsets do. nice, but to me it's just a piece of junk that Turtle Beach really messed up on, but then again I am a little bitter that Woot won't take it

Is it possible to use them with x Does your box come with a remote control?

Using this with the Xbox One for chat is not possible however, it works for audio without any chat functionality. The Xbox One Elite controller does not work when I use it with the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter and Xbox One Chatpad. Since the Xbox uses 3, it does not work for all three. There is a difference of 2 mm and not 5. With a diameter of 5 mm, this headset is suitable for most users. It can be used even in conjunction with the The female end of the tube is 5 mm, while the male end is I have not been able to work with an adapter fitting 5mm male.

Selected User Reviews For Turtle Beach - Ear Force X42 - Premium Wireless Gaming Headset with Dolby Surround Sound - Xbox 360 (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

I bought an older headset because it was cheap and the quality was great! It was an intentional decision to buy a headset not designed for the Xbox One when I bought my Xbox People often wonder why I chose this headset, and my answer is that it is one of the best I have ever used
5/5

Some of the more recent wireless, surround sound headsets cost over 200 dollars. The ear cups are also pleather, which I'm not a fan of since my ears tend to sweat quite a bit when wearing them. A friend of mine bought this headset at the same time when it was still nearly 170 dollars. Almost any first-person shooter I play I can hear footsteps as I use the headset. I've been accused of cheating for hearing footsteps with the headset on. If you own the new controller with a 3, then please let me know. If your headset has a 5mm jack, then you can buy a 6$ adapter and for less than 50 bucks you would have a headset better than 90% of recent It is very comfortable to sit on them. In the wake of 4 hours of use, the top of my head hurts a little, but the foam just needs to be broken in like all headsets. Yes, I'd recommend them as I know that three other members of my clan and I own them and we all agree that the sound is really good.

This product has great sound quality and can easily fit into people's schedules As a night worker looking for an alternative to wired headsets, I was interested in an alternative to bluetooth

Despite how easy it is to install, I was impressed by how little time it took. This is a great product with great sound quality and is Since I have never owned a headphone before, I don't have much to compare it to, but there were a lot of positive comments about it. In the sound and speaker settings, there are some options to change. I took some time to experiment with them. first started using these, I put them on to play one of my games during the opening and notice that there is a car driving by in the background that I have When you don't have them, the only thing you can hear is the rain in the game, but when they were on I began to hear a great deal of detail I was not aware of My work schedule keeps me on nights, and the rest of the population works days, so I needed a computer that would allow me to enjoy gaming sounds. I thought this was a good.

It's great to hear such great audio! When compared with my system, they performed better)

The Turtle Beach X42 headset was the one I ultimately purchased after a month of research on headsets from all the different companies. The headset I have purchased/used is the first one I have bought/used that wasn't already included with the console, so I cannot compare it to other headsets. The pros are *** * * This is a Dolby Digital certified product, so the sound is quite crisp (I can hear people trying to sneak up on me and find out what direction they are coming from). Through the headset, virtual surround sound sounds way better than through a system due to the fact that the tracks won't get drowned out by other sounds - It is possible to adjust the angles of the surround sound - The bass is deep and nice. It must be strong, but not overpowering - reason why I no longer use the headsets that come with the consoles as I talk softly while my family sleeps I talk softly in the morning and evening)*. This page contains 4 pre-written sentences Eq presets that are programmed in advance
They are remarkably lightweight for their size - Audio can be controlled separately from the chat audio while playing a game* It is easy to conceal the receiver due to its small size. I don't want any interference* - The range is good the cons are as follows *** * * At times, the dial for adjusting chat volume can be a bit sensitive* When wearing the headset for more than two hours, it can become uncomfortable In my case, it could be because I am not used to wearing them - br One reviewer said, "You won't truly comprehend the power of hearing until you try them out" and I absolutely agree. My playing experience has improved dramatically as I now hear sounds in the games that I did not know existed before and I can communicate effectively You might want to look at the 400 series if you're looking for the same headset, but with a bit more comfort (over the ear as opposed to on ear) and greater control over the equalizer. As a whole, I am a big fan of the X42 headsets, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a high-quality headset for an affordable price.

Games are more enjoyable when you play with friends
5/5

Video games have been a part of my life since I was a kid playing My XBox 360 went out about 2 years ago (even though I have been a Nintendo fan for many years). I love it, but the audio speakers on my 47" flat screen TV are not the best (they're behind the set). My room is next to the other tenants' room, and I did not want to disturb them. Reading all the reviews for various sets, I decided to choose this one when I decided to look into a pair of gaming headsets (something I've never tried before). They are completely different from what I am used to, but I love them nonetheless. The games I've played have enticed me to hear things I wasn't even aware of. An example would be birds chirping. As well as keeping out the noise, they are good at keeping in the warmth. It's all right. There is an easy volume control and the speaker is easy to hear. My ears do not feel them more than four to six hours after wearing them, so I'm not going to overdo it- The reason for this is probably due to my spectacles. It is as easy as taking them off for a second, rubbing your ears, and you're ready. There are people who complain about how cheap they feel, and I suppose they do, but comfort is far more important to me, and they are as well. There is only one thing that irks me a little, and that is that on occasion the signal is lost and the audio is lost for about four or five seconds until it reconnects, but this doesn't happen often and you become accustomed to it after a while. Then you should check them out.
