Because it's a cord, I gave it three stars. It does one thing at its most amazing moment in this brief blip we call "life. " It is the source of power for my Xbox. I'm glad it does that, and I'm satisfied with the product; it's just that it's difficult to get excited about a cord, which seems to be capped at three stars. If you have a 5 star cord at home, please write to me and tell me what makes it so special that it could surpass the physical scientific limits of a 3 star rating for all other cords in the universe.
When I plugged the power box in, an orange light came on, indicating that the power supply was damaged and would not work. Don't waste your money on this piece of garbage. I got a refund and placed another order in the hopes of getting a working power box, but I just got another one that was broken.
My son knew it was the power cord when his Xbox stopped working, and because Xboxes are no longer manufactured, we expected to either 1) not be able to find a new power cord or 2) have to pay a premium for it. We were able to locate the exact Xbox cord we required for a very reasonable price, and it arrived in just two days! Thank you, YCCSKY, for having what we needed and charging a fair price!!.
My xb360 is working again, which is fantastic! We purchased this after our previous power brick began to overheat. I was overjoyed that we had discovered something that worked, was reasonably priced, and arrived quickly! Our system is on for the majority of the afternoon and evening because we use it to watch TV as well as play games, and we have had no problems thus far; I would highly recommend this product!.
However, there are snags. It works, but it consumes more power when it is turned off and is louder than the standard xbox 360 slim supply I received when I first purchased my console. br>br>A good positive is that the fan in the supply seems to push out the heat this supply produces at a good clip, despite the noise, which I'm hoping means it won't get full of dust, which is why I bought this in the first place when my microsoft version started groaning at me. br>br>4 stars because it did exactly what I needed it to do, and 3 stars because it was reasonably priced. In sleep mode, the added noise and 30 extra watts earned it five stars.
For a few months, it worked, but now it's a flop. Our Xbox 360S have been shutting down at random over the last month. I assumed it was simply overheating (despite the fact that it was in a cool room), so I used canned air to clear it out. The Xbox used to turn on for a fraction of a second before turning off. We have a second Xbox 360S, so I plugged it in there and it did the same thing. I plugged the power supply from the second Xbox (which was an original from when we bought it) into the first one, and it worked perfectly. As a result, I knew it wasn't the Xbox that was broken, but rather this unit; at the very least, we got some use out of it, but I'm going to go buy an authentic one so I don't waste any more money on knock-offs. off-brands such as this Liked: br>br>Liked: br>br>Liked: br>br>L It worked for a couple of monthsbr>br>Disliked: That it only lived for a few monthsbr>br>UPDATE: I had no issues with another one that the supplier replaced in the previous year.
I needed a replacement for a used xbox 360s I bought because the power brick fan wasn't working even after cleaning, I can't say how it compares to the original from Microsoft in terms of performance or noise because I've never owned a new one out of the box, but I would definitely recommend this one.
