Between the foam and the wall, insert a dull, flat blade. A butter knife, plastic spatula, or credit card will do the trick without damaging the wall. br>Pry the foam up from the wall with the blade, working beneath it. Remove as much of the foam layer as you can until you're left with only the adhesive. br>Rub the remaining adhesive with your thumb; some mounting tape adhesives can be rubbed off with light pressure. Stop rubbing the adhesive if it does not rub or smears. Remove any remaining adhesive from the wall with an adhesive remover such as Goo Be Gone.

My husband's gaming cabinent has been completely transformed as a result of it. The command strips have never come loose, in fact, everything is so sturdy that you can semi-slam the cabinent door with the controllers mounted on them and they will not fall off! It's very simple to put together. I got a little OCD with the alignment for our specific use, but with all my measurements, the total installation time for all five mounts was about ten minutes. They also look very sleek and modern, in my opinion. For gaming storage and organization, this is a must-have item.
Edit 2: These have been rock solid for months. I also purchased a PS4, and while these work best with the Xbox, they also work well with the PS4 (though not as snugly). Switch controllers and Switch pro controllers are also compatible. If the Switch Gamecube controller is balanced, it should stay up. So far, I've purchased eight of these and am pleased with my purchase. Advantages: br>br>

These look like they're made of a tough plastic or acrylic. When they're loaded with a controller, they're about a quarter of an inch thick and have no flex. I tried gently flexing it. The v-shaped section is the only part that moves. a portion of the wall that is shaped like a teepee Under normal circumstances, this would be difficult to break. It appears to be of long lasting quality. The black has a high gloss finish. br>br>A few cable management clips and four 3M glue squares are also included in the package. The mounts haven't yet been glued together. Instead, you'll put them into practice on your own. This option appeals to me because it allows the customer to use a different method of attachment if desired. I'm not going to use the included glue squares because I'm afraid they'll damage my paint if I have to remove them. Instead, I'm using Command brand velcro strips to make it easier to remove and relocate. br>br>This mount accommodates my Nvidia Shield TV game controllers as well as my Xbox One S controllers. They don't go in either direction. It's an excellent match. This item has two flaws in my opinion. It's a fingerprint magnet, first and foremost. As soon as you touch it, you'll notice how filthy it becomes. It's simple to wipe back to a clean, gleaming surface, but it's a pain. The large white logo on the front of the item is also something I dislike. I thought it was a sticker that could be removed, but it's actually painted on. To address both of these flaws, I'm going to paint my mounts flat white (which will hide fingerprints, cover the logo, and better match the rest of my room). I'm pleased with my purchase, and I'm glad I didn't spend nearly twice as much on the "name brand" mounts.

Installing the product was simple, but removing it was not. I suggest using this product on a metal or wood surface, such as the side of a desk or cabinet, rather than a painted wall. Aside from that, the product is excellent. br>br>The photo above was taken after 10 minutes of holding a hot hair dryer against the adhesive. The heat, on the other hand, weakened the wall's top layer. br>I would purchase this product again if there was an easier way to remove it. I would stay away from these if you are renting or planning to move in the near future. If you intend to stay in your current residence indefinitely, these will last indefinitely.
Each pack of two holders includes four pieces of 3M VHB, the best double-sided tape on the market (so you'll never run out). I've never used a double-sided adhesive before. It's as simple as pressing it firmly against a smooth surface, holding it for a few seconds, and it'll stay put (until you're ready to scrape it off with a very thin scraper). The holders are also sturdy, hold the controller securely without being difficult to get in or out of, and have no sharp edges. I was unsure whether two pieces of molded plastic and some adhesive were really worth $15, but these are extremely well designed and constructed, and are ideal for mounting controllers, headphones, and other items out of the way.
