Well, that is debatable. It allows you to access in-game content in Twilight Princess and Breath of the Wild (possibly more, but that's all I know right now). Twilight Princess gives you access to a secret dungeon, while Breath of the Wild gives you a wolf companion. br>br>The value comes primarily from the fact that it is a good, official Zelda collectible. If you're into that sort of thing, they make good display pieces. br>br>From what I understand, you can buy just the amiibo's 'chip,' which gives you all the in-game content without the collectible figurine, but they aren't licensed by Nintendo, so if you don't mind supporting unlicensed material and only want the in-game perks, that might be a better option.
They are used by my son with his Switch. yes.
No, you'll need to beat the dungeon in Twilight Princess to get the 20 hearts, but he's still a great helper in the game.

There wasn't much information about what this amiibo did in the listing. "Made for Play!" reads one line in the listing. Explore New Game Modes, Meet New Characters, and Much More"; So I assumed you could either become a guardian or that guardians would spawn. I read somewhere that the cards (also available on Amazon) worked in the same way as this amiibo, so I bought those first for less than half the price of this amiibo. The wolf- A Wolf-like creature is spawned by the Link card. Link with 20 hearts to aid you in your quest for survival. I think Wolf is right. Only three hearts are available when Link amiibo is spawned. It also contained a card that, for me, spawned Epona (the horse) twice. The other cards all drop chests containing weapons, armor, shields, gems, food, and rupees, among other things. The Guardian card drops a chest and three boxes, all of which contain ancient items that must be broken open. I bought this Guardian amiibo in the hopes that it could do more than the card - usually screws, gears, and the like. nope. A chest and three boxes are dropped by it. Except for the Wolf-amiibo, I can use this Guardian amiibo on the same day as I use the cards (each amiibo/card can only be used once per day). This is a link that you can use again and again. If he doesn't die, he won't be able to spawn; After that, you'll have to wait until the next day. I'm torn between keeping the Guardian Amiibo and getting rid of it. My 11-year-old son, on the other hand, thinks he's worth the money because of the detail and articulating legs. For a toy, it's a little pricey. If you want something that works, this is the place to go. The NFC cards available on Amazon are what I would choose. You end up with something like 20 cards for less than half the price of the amiibos listed here, and they all work the same way.
The packaging was mangled when it arrived, but the amiibo were fine. Yes, boxes can be damaged during shipping. However, if the contents are packaged with SOME protection, it is more likely that they will not appear to have been kicked around.
This product is well-made, attractive, and compatible with my Nintendo Switch, which I use to play Breath of the Wild. Simply enable Amiibos in the Zelda menu, then press the Left Button to activate the Amiibo drop zone (much like the bombs or magnesis power).
He's a really cool guy. I really like the figurine because it's so well-made. Unfortunately, you can only use a 3 heart wolf link once per day (unlimited uses until he dies for the day, or reloading an old save if he dies). If you have the Wii U game Twilight Princess, you can get more hearts, but I ended up buying a spoofed RFID card with the 20 heart wolf link on it for a fraction of the price, and there was no need to grind out another Legend of Zelda game. I completed Twilight Princess on the original Wii, and I'm sure none of you want to repeat the experience.
This is one of the more detailed Amiibo that has been released so far. It's a great way to show off your work. br>In terms of games, this Amiibo grants you access to a secret dungeon in Twilight Princess HD, a wolf companion in Breath of the Wild (with extra hearts depending on how well you did in the Twilight Princess extra dungeon), and Midna weapons in Hyrule Warriors (both the mirror and the shackle).
My husband is a huge Zelda fan who plays it on his Nintendo Switch all the time. He adores the figurine's appearance and the fact that it appears to be well-crafted. It stands firm and is not easily knocked over. If these amiibos were still available, my husband would buy them.
We were sold when the Breath of the Wild compatibility was revealed. br>br>As a surprise, I bought one for my brother and one with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. HD version of the Twilight Princess. (As a result, we'll be able to advance in our Wolf-leveling. ) BotW has some links! ) There's also a great deal on the Standalone ($18) because they've been flying off the shelves. 5 out of 5 stars, and I'd purchase it again!.
These guys have some cool in-game items, but you'll need to clear their beasts first to get the better ones.
