Other reviewers appear to believe that this is a poor imitation of the original. Although it appears to be identical to the original, it does bear a Made in China label. The Ipod, on the other hand, has a similar problem. I used my digital camera to examine the infrared LEDs, and you can see that it has one fewer LED per side than the original, but it plays just as well on my machine from 6' to 12'. Both the connector and the cord are identical. This product meets all of my expectations, and the price is unbeatable.
This sensor bar is nowhere near as good as a NIntendo sensor. I gave it a three-star rating because it works and recognizes motion, but it has one major flaw. The mouse cursor jumps around the screen. Even when I placed the remote on a flat surface, the pointer continued to move. If you want to play games that require precision with the sensor bar, this is not the product for you. If all you want is a replacement sensor so you can keep using your Wii for Netflix, this will suffice (though I highly recommend investing in a Roku 3, which is a much more powerful device).
I lost my old Wii sensor and wanted to play some old games again; this one works just as well! There are no issues!.
It's difficult to find products for obsolete items, but this one was reasonably priced and was the exact part required for the original Wii.

We needed a cheap replacement after our dog ate the original bar. If you're serious about Wii gaming and want something perfect, look for a Nintendo original or a better third-party bar. This one is for those who want to play but aren't too concerned with how well it works. The main problem is that if you move outside of the "sweet" zone, the bar frequently loses your Wiimote. However, it fulfills my requirements.
My order was delivered on time. I was happy with what I received, but the shipping costs were outrageous, especially since I work for the post office and am familiar with current rates. For the low price of $5, the package was the right size to fit in a padded priority flat rate envelope, which would have included tracking and $50 of insurance if it was lost or damaged in transit. Instead of nearly $19, you can get it for 95 dollars. I was given a bill for $0. 00. I also sell on Amazon, and while you are not required to ship through their site, I will say that the price per unit was excellent, and I received my items within the time frame promised.
I was in need of a replacement.
