The review of the Wired Infrared Ray Sensor Bar
5/5

I bought this after our old wii's sensor bar broke and I decided to try one of the generic bars. It functions and appears to be identical to the previous version. No one would ever guess that this wasn't the Wii's original controller. The only issue is that the stand does not have any sticky tape on it, but it does have some foam that appears to be sticky? I'm not sure what that means, but the last time our bar fell off the top of our television, the cord snapped, and we had to replace it. As a result, they must be adhered to. So it's now taped to our television (which isn't moving).

Knowing is power, so don't put your faith in 5-star reviews
3/5

Okay, I swear to myself that this will be the LAST time I buy technical products based on Amazon reviews (unless the review is from a reliable source, such as Engineer Lee on rechargeable batteries). It's not that I don't understand - it's just that I don't know what The majority of the people here have no idea how these things are supposed to work and thus are unable to offer any insight into the issues at hand. It's also possible that sellers are saturating the market with fake reviews - This is, for example, the exact same bar as the $13 one from this link (copy and paste it into your browser's address bar): The type of IR LEDs inside Wii sensor bars is all that matters - how powerful the LED is, and how many of them are there I'm not sure how bright these LEDs are (in lumens), but I can tell you that there are three of them on each side for a total of six. There are five on each side of the official Nintendo bar, for a total of ten. What can you do to find out if this is the case? All you'll need is a smartphone with video mode (to "see" infrared). br>[Follow the instructions on the Nintendo website: ]

So, will this bar work for 80% of people who don not have major problems? It will, without a doubt - The product is a no-brainer - When you plug it into your Wii, 6 infrared LEDs light up. Is it a good buy, and can you use it for more than 8 hours? 9 feet? No way! If you need a quick gaming fix, even two candles would be preferable to these cheap 6 LED bars (just be careful not to burn down your house; I'm not responsible).
[. ]br>br>The irony is that refurbished Nintendo bars are only $7 each. It costs $10 to buy a new one. Buying Wii accessories would have been so much easier if Nintendo had those products available on Amazon rather than in their own store ($5 shipping):

It Works! So, my cat has developed a taste for power cords recently
5/5

However, this isn't any old power cord. I'm sure it's for something I use on a regular basis. So when he ripped my Wii sensor bar in half, he picked a good one. This replacement cost only a few dollars, so I went ahead and ordered it. At the very least, I expected to pay twenty-five dollars. I like the little holder that was included and attached it to the base of my television, and it arrived in just a few days, as described, and works perfectly. So far, there have been no issues. I'm very pleased with this product, and I would strongly recommend it as a replacement for the Wii sensor bar.

This is an excellent replacement for the original Wii bar
5/5

I simply plugged it in, and that was the end of it! br>br>I will say that the little clear plastic thing that comes with it, on which you can mount the Wii sensor bar, isn't as small and sleek as the one that came with the original sensor bar. The original mounting piece, on the other hand, is still functional with this sensor bar.

Not as good as Nintendo's Sensor Bar (due to the lack of LEDs)
3/5

For the first month or so, I believe it worked fine, but its range quickly became severely limited. I'd have to be very close to the sensor bar for this to work. In addition, the pointer (or whatever it's called) would jump around on the screen. I lit two candles and used them as makeshift sources of IR light to see if it was my Wii remote. The efficiency with which it worked astounded me! br>br>I later discovered that this sensor bar is not the same as Nintendo's original sensor bar because it only has three IR LEDs on each side, whereas Nintendo's has five.

This was bought a long time ago
3/5

We were . This was bought a long time ago. We had a lot of issues with the Wii and assumed it was because of the controllers. So I went out and bought two more controllers, but the system still didn't work. My husband disassembled the sensor bar and discovered that there was a missing connection inside, causing it to only work on occasion. I won't be able to return because it's too late, so I'll have to buy another.

The bar appears to be in good working order, and I haven't noticed any differences between it and the previous bar
4/5

It's running on a Wii in its original white color scheme. The bar appears to function properly, and there is no discernible difference between it and the Wii's original bar. In the packaging, the plastic stand that came with it was broken. I just glued it back together, and while getting the stand to snap on and hold onto the sensor bar is a little tricky, once it's on, it seems to stay on. When I dropped it from a height of about four feet onto a cement floor, however, the stand easily separated from the bar. My glue job, on the other hand, held up well.

Replacement at a low cost
3/5

Visit http: for a review of "Nobody. " //www . Replacement at a low cost. To replace the original that I had packed away, see "Nobody's" review. The cursor vanished after four weeks. After a week of troubleshooting, I noticed that the cursor returned at 6 inches, so I dug out the original sensor and I'm good to go.
