This is a perfect replacement for your old RVL- The issue with the "Read Error" on the 001 Wii drive has been resolved

My old Wii would no longer read game disks and would give me an error message. As a result of a YouTube tutorial, I was able to figure out how to I pulled the old drive and installed this one in about 20 minutes after disassembling the Wii and replacing the drive. Time limit: 30 minutes There are only a few screws to remove, but the Y-shaped Y-shaped Y-shaped Y-shaped Y-shaped Y-shaped Y- If you don't have a repair kit with that specific screwdriver, the drive screwdriver included in this package will come in handy. I am overjoyed! The kids and I are once again playing Wii Sports!.

An old Wii gets a new lease on life

The included 'Y' screwdriver was crucial for opening the case and replacing a broken Wii drive. There are a lot of screws to remove, so proceed with caution. Look at the videos on YouTube. (Even so, I had a couple left over (!) ) following re-assembly, but everything appears to be in working order).
