Yes. The Switch is compatible with it. This Link Amiibo, I believe, summons Epona in Breath of the Wild.
Yes! It will first give you epona, then you will eventually get the twilight armor set through a random drop rate, as well as a variety of other weapons and armor.
He's a Japanese import who works in the United States for me.
Yes, as long as you and your child each have a separate save. Just make sure to activate the Amiibo in a field where horses are already walking around to get one Epona per save file. Horses aren't allowed in some areas, so this will prevent you from accidentally spawning Epona somewhere you'll have to abandon it. Also, before you turn off your game, register Epona; otherwise, you'll have to use the Amiibo again!

I bought it primarily for the Epona feature in Breath of the Wild, but the figure itself is far superior to my expectations. (However, coming from a background of working with the frequently less-than-ideal, I'm biased. ) My expectations may have been set too low because of the high quality toys available in China. ) Despite my lack of experience with collectibles, it appears to be something that my friends would purchase simply for the sake of looking at; I wasn't expecting the paint to be as detailed and precise as it is. br>In the case of BotW, I'll give you a heads-up so you don't make the same mistake we did: When scanning the amiibo for the first time, make sure you're near a stable so you can immediately register Epona. You only have a 10 chances of receiving Epona the first time you scan it. The other times, you'll mostly get a chest full of other goodies, though you have a lower chance of getting Epona if you didn't register the first time. Save yourself the trouble and register the first time so you don't have to worry about losing her and having to play the game of chance (or load-out). My brother scanned Epona with only a few minutes to play the game, got to enjoy her for a few minutes, then logged out only to return a few hours later to find her gone and unable to be scanned again. He got a chest instead of the expected horse the next day (though he did get the Cap of the Twilight, which is pretty sweet), so he'll have to wait until the amiibo gives him back the legendary horse, which seems unlikely after the first scan. Epona is a nice, fast horse with a gentle temperament in any case. While other horses may have more stamina than her, this does not make her "the best horse. " However, I've heard that her dashes last longer than other horses, which somewhat compensates for this. She's also a nice pony to deal with after dealing with some of the more ferocious horses. The only other disadvantage is that you can't change her name (though I'm not sure why you'd want to); you can't change her appearance (though I'm not sure why you'd want to); and you can't change her appearance (though I'm not sure why you You can't customize her armor or bridle either, though you wouldn't have much reason to unless you had the Ancient gear, which boosts stats. br>In conclusion, while Epona isn't cheap, she's still fun to have around, and the figure is also pretty cool.

I got Epona as soon as I opened the package to get Link out. Epona was required for Breath of the Wild (I use a switch lite). I'm disappointed that I won't be able to change Epona's gear to the ancient set so that I can summon her from anywhere. If you're too far away, she won't come when you whistle. In reality, a normal horse with good stats and the ability to warp to you may be more useful in-game. Epona, on the other hand. I'm fine going from stable to stable, just like I was before I got the ancient set. Without her, the game just didn't feel like a Zelda game! If you're a big Zelda fan, you'll want to get this so you can ride the legendary horse we all know and love. br>br>And then there's the tiny figure. He's an excellent individual. It worked flawlessly and did not cause any harm. Excellent craftsmanship. Each and every one of the five stars is deserving of praise: D showed up on time, too!.
When the package arrived, it was completely smashed and folded. Because so many people collect unboxed amiibo, this purchase would have been pointless. br>br>Unfortunately, the amiibo was also completely malfunctional. br>br>I made this purchase to access Epona in Breath of the Wild, and I could have forgiven the poor shipping if everything else had been fine. Both in-home and out-of-home troubleshooting on two different Nintendo Switches, both in-home and out-of-home troubleshooting proved fruitless. It was clear from the start of the game and the amiibo settings that it wouldn't read. (In the same set of tests, other amiibo were recognized right away. ) ) The figure itself appeared to be in good condition, so it didn't appear to be a case of shipping damage. It appears that they made a mistake and sold a flop. br>br>For the record, the figure appears to be exactly as shown - Link is positioned downward and rests on an unsightly yellow stand, but we were all aware of this prior to making the purchase. Aside from the dubious design, I'll give it an extra star for exceeding expectations.
I was able to get Epona with this Amiibo the first time I used it, which is why I bought it in the first place, and if you were a huge fan of the Nintendo 64 zelda games, Epona was one of the parts that I really enjoyed, so being able to get Epona in Breath of the Wild was ideal for me. This works with the switch, but I haven't tried it with my Wii U yet. One thing I wish was that this could be used more than once every 24 hours.
It arrived on time, and the paint detail is incredible, as others have mentioned. I didn't think it was fair to pay $25 for a tiny action figure. But, since that is the going rate, it arrived on time, is extremely detailed, and functions properly (I got all the in-depth information I needed), I believe it was a reasonable purchase (given the game's perks). I did not want to take it out of the box, which is one thing I wish had been different. However, if you want to use the Amiibo feature, you must first remove it from the system before it will register. Nintendo went above and beyond by placing a small foil board underneath it to prevent it from registering with the Joy-Con controller. Con. That is why I am deducting a star from my rating. It might be deserving of a five-star rating. But, in my opinion, I paid a reasonable price for it, so it's entirely up to me if I want to keep it in the box and still use it to get the treasure drops.
Unfortunately, it was a Christmas present, but my son received another amiibo for his birthday, which happened to be the day before Christmas. I haven't bothered to open it or return it. I'm going to save it as a back-up!.
