The adapter was missing from the package when it arrived. When I contacted the seller, they went above and beyond to resolve the problem. br>br>As for the adapter, it works perfectly! Officially compatible operating systems include Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android, Raspberry Pi, and Nintendo Switch. br>br>In Windows mode, XInput is used, which is similar to an Xbox 360 controller. I tried plugging the adapter into a 360 because I figured it should work, right? However, this is not the case. However, it still performs admirably on Windows. br>br>I don't have a Mac, but when you use it with Windows in MacOS mode, it recognizes it as a USB HID device, which is the same protocol that the PS3 uses, and this adapter does indeed work well on the PS3 in MacOS mode, despite the fact that it's not officially supported. The only disadvantage of using it on a PS3 is that the home button does not function. I'd buy four of these just to use my PS4 controllers for multiplayer PS3 games if 8bitdo implemented that in a future firmware update. br>br>It runs flawlessly on my Raspberry Pi, both in Windows and MacOS modes, with RetroPie installed. br>br>I've only used this adapter with PlayStation 4 controllers so far. I'll update this review once I've tried it out with my Wii remotes. I don't own an Xbox One, Switch Pro, or Wii U Pro controller, so I can't speak to that.
While my Switch was docked charging, I needed a way to use a game controller from my PS3, Xbox One, or Wii U Pro Controller. I was able to use any of the three on it thanks to what I discovered. My sole motivation was to avoid having to use the switch joypads, which could become misplaced if not replaced. Also, the other console controllers had a nice feel to them. br>br>I was able to accomplish this with the help of this device. For a non-technical person, the setup might be a little difficult. It was a little techy, but not too bad. First, update the device, and then follow the instructions in the available manual on the website. Tip. adhere to the instructions to the letter br>br>For anyone in my situation, this is a must-have item.
I was initially skeptical, but pairing my PS4 Dual Shock with my Nintendo Switch works flawlessly. The Joy of Switching I'm not a big fan of the size of convention controllers. After roughly 20 minutes, my hands begin to cramp. I didn't like the button layout either, so I decided against spending $65 on the Switch Pro controller. This adapter is a must-have for any gamer who despises the Joy-Con controller. Cons. br>br>NOTE: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is the place to be The adapter comes with no instructions, so go to the 8Bitdo website for information on updating the firmware for the adapter and pairing it with your preferred controller.
This is far more adaptable than I anticipated when I first bought it. This purchase has left me impressed and satisfied. It took me a long time to get this to work with the controllers, but that had more to do with my stubbornness than with the product's quality. Go to the website, update the firmware, and read the manual. The only criticism I have is that each key can only support one controller. It's a switch limitation, not a key limitation.
I had to go over everything again. The controller needed to be synced on the first day of use, but after that there was no problem. Because it is a dull orange light, the constant flash of light on the brick's sync button can be easily ignored. I like the design, and the sync button is in keeping with the overall theme. I'll be honest, I haven't used the cable yet because I mostly use the product at home. This has to be one of the best accessories I've purchased for the Switch, as I didn't want to spend another $70 on another Pro Controller. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat!.
The adapter works flawlessly with PS4 controllers on the switch. br>br>I gave it four stars because the OTG cable that came with it is too tight for the adapter to fit into. I'm worried that if I insert the adapter into the OTG slot, the USB portion of the adapter will break. As a result, I can't use my PS4 controller on the Switch in portable mode, which is a bummer because I paid good money for this OTG cable adapter.
Wow. I was blown away. I didn't want to spend $60 on a new Nintendo wireless remote because I already owned a PS4 controller. This thing is awesome because I'm used to the PS4 controller, which feels better in my hands. It connects to the dock without any problems. Synchronization is straightforward. It appeals to my tastes.
This USB Bluetooth Adapter is fantastic; it's so simple to use; simply plug it in, press the pairing button, and you're done. I have no problems pairing my Xbox One and PS4 Controllers; I'm not sure why, but pairing the Xbox One Controller takes a little longer than pairing the PS4 Controller, but in the end, both controllers work flawlessly on my PC, especially the PS4, which doesn't require the DS4 Software when used with this adapter. br>br>On my phone, I have the Snes9x and RetroArch emulators. The adapter also works perfectly on Android devices, such as my Samsung Galaxy Sol 3, which recognizes the adapter as soon as you plug it in. I use the UGREEN Micro USB to USB to connect the 8Bitdo Adapter, and please make sure that your phone's Bluetooth is turned on. It recognizes the Xbox One controller (the PS4 controller has yet to be tested).
