It might push the battery too far when the voltage is 120 versus 100 in Japan. Since I do not own a Japanese model, I cannot say for sure if this would be a problem.
The answer is yes.
That's not the case, in my opinion.
I have a model of this that works without a problem and it's the same with my son's!

I stopped giving it 5 stars because it doesn't have innovative features that really stretch the boundaries of chargers, and you won't find that with plugs and chargers because there's not much innovation here. There is no reason not to give it 5 stars because it is a cheap price, cheaper than thieving at Gamestop or similar You can't say that it's ridiculous or cheaply built, and if it was, would you still buy it for $8 or less? Besides being a waste of time, you might regret your decision if you continue searching for a better PSP charger.
The purchase of 3rd party accessories for any gaming system has always been a cause of concern for me. In the case of power supplies, especially for 1st party peripherals, I prefer 1st party peripherals, but when it comes to handheld devices like PSP's and Gameboy's, sometimes you can't help but purchase extras. As a result of purchasing a few used PSPs, I also needed some AC adapters so I selected In the mail, it was exactly how detailed it was, and I opened it up and used it exactly as instructions told me to. It worked perfectly, but I can't say much more than that. It fit tight without any wiggle or looseness, powered up and charged any PSP I tried it with. My concern was if the plug in would move around, but there was nothing, and everything fit perfectly and the PSP I tested it with powered up and charged like a charm.
After replacing a component, the power supply recharges the PSP continuously and that is not the case with the power supply fitted all the way into the PSP, as stated by others. Thankfully I had spare power cords to replace the wall cable, the one that connects the wall to the adapter, the original wall cable was too thin to carry current, which meant it would power cycle (charge for a while, shut off for a while, and so on). charging device itself feels cheap and the body of the adapter seems very thin. There's so much room in the corners that you can push in and separate it without much effort. It gets the job done in a pinch, but it's not one I would recommend. keep this in mind. The quality of what you get depends on the price you pay. I did the same thing!.
I'm not sure it stays charged for more than five minutes at a time and it doesn't secure into the port. Also, it doesn't work out of the box. There is something wrong with this adapter.
Though there are some issues with it, it worked well. Despite that, I wouldn't have given it a 5 star rating since it doesn't go in all the way and it hangs a bit.
It barely counts. There is either an issue with my PSP or with While it charges the battery, the charger cable is too long and isn't wide enough to accommodate the PSP's charging port, so it's a bit The charger either has to be held at one specific spot once it is plugged in or be set up so that it does not move while it is plugged I did mention though that it does charge my PSP while it is playing. The purchase was fine, but I would not buy it.
Although it charges and works as intended, it does not fit perfectly into the socket and won't stay in place when you are playing while it is charging without holding it.
