I promise you that Oivo Games put a lot of thought into the design of this charging station. br>br>So, to begin, I suppose we'll start with the design: br>br>Look at this thing; it kind of looks like the official Charging Station, but it's not; it's just a lot nicer, more sleek in design, especially with these really cool Blue LED lights on the front, which indicate which controller is currently charging and which is fully charged by turning Red or Blue; it even has this really smooth Blue LED strip running down on the inside. br>br>It even matches up with the PS5 perfectly, and with the lights being blue. What's also really cool is that when you put your controller down to charge, it turns on a pulsing blue light that stays on until it's fully charged. br>br>Also, what's really interesting is that there's a USB-C port in the back. The Type C port has two types of cables: one is a USB-C cable and the other is a USB-A cable. USB to Type C Adapter Type C and another that has a double-headed regular USB port as well as an on/off switch when not in use. br>br>(But let's be honest, we're probably going to keep it on anyway, I mean, look at it, I know I am. )br>br>Now the time it takes to fully charge your controllers is under 2 hours, and it also has Fast Charging, which I think is really impressive. br>br>But let's be honest, we're probably going to keep it on anyway, I mean, look at it, I know I am. ) But it's comforting to know that when the other controller runs out of juice, your controller will be ready to play again. br>br>I also discovered that this is an upgraded version of another of their products, with Intelligent Protection, which simply means it won't overheat. charge, overcharge br>br>Now you'd think that something like this would sell for around the same price as Sony's PS5 Charging Station, if not more. br>br>NOPE! It is currently available for $19 on Amazon. 99, which is less expensive than the official version and, in my opinion, looks much nicer. br>br>Now, I'd like to thank Oivo Games for sending this to me and allowing me to test and review it for you guys; they literally have everything you need for your Nintendo Switch, from chargers to grips and carrying cases, and they support every console, including older gen consoles. You should definitely check them out. I know this isn't about who has the better charging station, Oivogames or Sony, but since I have both, let's put them to the test. br>br>To begin with, both Chargers look similar, even in terms of how you dock the controllers, as you can see in the picture. Sony has one as well, but it only pops up when the controller is docked. That said, they don't seem to lock in very well and wobble around a bit when moved, and they both feel like they'll fall off fairly easily if hit on the side of the controller. Still, that Ovio dock appeals to me because it is simple to install and dock the controllers. br>Looking at the Oivo stand, it has a switch on the back that allows you to turn on the lights that run across the top of the dock and the front leds, as you can see in the picture, the controller icons will light up blue if they are fully charged or red if they are currently charging, which is a really nice feature because the PS5 also lights up on top, similar to how Oivo made the charger look, so it's nice to have it next to the PS The only way to tell if the controller is charging is to look at the orange light on the controller, which blinks when it is charging but turns off once it is fully charged. I despise it because it makes me feel as if I plugged it in incorrectly or don't know if it's fully charged or not. br>Getting back to Sony, you'll need to use the included power supply to power up the Sony charger, which means you'll have to free up some space in one of your outlets. (It's a pain because it takes up space on the outlets and looks like a laptop is plugged in. ) The Oivo Charger comes with two different wires to connect to your PS5, which makes it a lot more convenient because it doesn't take up an outlet spot and both wires have different spots where you can plug them into the spot you like best (one wire is for the USB port, which is a little weird for me because it does take up two USB spots on the PS5 to charge the dock, the other is how I use it where it's a USB C Type to the dock, which is way cleaner looking As a result, we strongly advise connecting the PS5 via USB C Type. br>Overall, I noticed that the Ovio dock is slightly larger in height and width than the Sony charging station, but that's most likely due to the LEDs and Controller light up symbols on the front, which, if I haven't already stated, look far nicer and cleaner than Sony's basic design. In terms of charging, how do the two charging stations compare? I've let both controllers die completely and charged them on both stations at the same time, and they appear to charge at roughly the same time and speed. Because it's difficult to tell when the Sony dock has fully charged your controller, it's possible that this is incorrect. While the Sony dock is smaller, I find it to be more basic and uninteresting to look at than the Ovio dock, which, in my opinion, stands out far more with its lights and led controller symbols that indicate when your controller is charging and fully charged. br>br>Overall, I think the Ovio charging station is a great value for the money.

The OIVO docking charger is a little more bulky than the PS5 and the Sony docking charger, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It has LED lights running down the top side and a display in front that shows when the controllers are charging and fully charged, making it a nicer feature to display in anyone's gaming setup or even next to the PS5. LED lights don't appeal to you? That is not an issue. As someone who has multiple electronics connected in their room at the same time, the most distracting aspect of going to sleep is having lights on, but OIVO thought of that as well, as it has an on/off feature that turns off the lights while continuing to charge the controllers. Plus, unlike the Sony docking charger, it has rubber feet on the bottom that help it stay in place. Not to mention that when you place the controllers in the dock, they slant down almost as if they are resting on the dock itself, whereas the Sony charger stands up straight, making it easier to knock off and stop charging. At the very least, I believe that having them slanted down a bit provides a better grip. I put it through its paces for a week with both the USB-A and USB-C cables that came with it (usb-A and USB-C). c to usb- c, as well as two USB ports usb a's end-to-end-to-end-to-end-to-end-to c) with the charger plugged into a PS5 and a wall outlet, it works flawlessly for both of my controllers! There are no complaints here, and I would recommend this product to anyone as an alternative or go-to, especially for the price.
