This is the English version of the game; however, I do not recommend purchasing it on disc because the load times are horrendous; instead, purchase it online and it will run flawlessly from a memory card.
There are no region restrictions on any PS3 games.
Selected User Reviews For Metal Slug Anthology - Sony PSP
From the NEO GEO arcades, this is a perfect port! Needless to say, the enemies' blood is red, not that silly watery white color, and it's almost perfect! Why almost, you might wonder? Because the game pauses unexpectedly for a fraction of a second and suffers from slow frame rate due to the constant need for cache flushing, I highly recommend the digital download over the UMD. This problem is minimized if you get the digital version, because it is a much faster data access process, and the reading times are much faster! As a result, there are fewer instances of low frame rate and significantly shorter loading times.
There's a lot of fun to be had, and the graphics improve as the games progress, though not significantly, so you can tell the difference between them. There are six games in total, and I can assure you that if you enjoy shooting things and owning a lot of guns, you will enjoy them. There isn't much of a story in this game, but it shines on the fun of shooting a ton of enemies and riding around in various vehicles. br>br>Great deal at a great price, this is a psp must-have. If you need a break from all the rpgs, this is a great game to play. I play a lot of rpgs and such, but every now and then I feel like a loose story shooting game, and this is the game for you.
It's a great game and one of my favorites, but it gets a little stale at times and lags a little in the sound department. I was very emotional when I played it, but it was a disappointment.
It feels like it was made for the PSP, and it's one of the best games ever.
The very first NEO- Beautiful hand drawn sprites and animations that you simply don't get in the era of 3D everything, the GEO series on the go is a perfect translation from the MVS hardware of the past. The artwork is absolutely stunning, and it makes you want to keep playing just to see what happens next in the landscape. The series' evolution is a mixed bag; some of the titles slow down when the action heats up, and you can see how the game engine was optimized with each release; the original Metal Slug moves along fairly well, but number 2 shows they tried to up the visual feast without tweaking the engine; none the less, all of the titles are fantastic; the difficulty level in these games is only cheap in rare instances, and requires repeated play and dedication to get some o To keep things fair and to brag about the response, you only get 20 credits, which necessitates a cautious approach to each title's completion. The drawback to this game, as with all of the NEO GEO PSP ports, is the load time, which varies depending on the game; some titles have no loading at all, while others have loading that interrupts the action and completely ruins the game. I was so annoyed by the loading that I decided to buy the game as a download. The download version of the game works exactly like the original MVS hardware I used to pump quarters into; there is still some loading, but the latency has been reduced to the point where there is no break in the action.
This is a fantastic collectible from the era of video games.
On a single UMD, you get four (4) full games! "Everything you've ever wanted to know about the Arcade Hit: SLUG MADE OF METAL. Now available on the PlayStation Portable (PSP) version of: SLUG MADE OF METAL- "Anthology," you say?.
