I adore the vita and would strongly advise anyone who enjoys gaming to purchase one. Yes, Sony snatched it, and there won't be many new games in the near future. Cartridge games are becoming increasingly overpriced and difficult to come by. As a result, memory will be required. br>I made some errors. I thought the memory issue was absurdly overpriced when I first saw it. It is, in fact. So I went out and bought an 8-gig SD card, which I quickly filled. It's not big enough to hold much. So I went out and bought two more. I have four of them, as well as a four-gigabyte card, because I couldn't bring myself to spend the money. As a result, I spent more money than I needed to. br>I have a 16 GB SD card, which is currently full but still holds a good number of games. I suggest purchasing at least 16 of them. If you can overlook the price gouging, 32 is an excellent choice. br>64, I believe, is for those who must own every game available. br>However, don't take this lightly. If you only want one or two games, this is not the way to go.
My only real issue with these is that they are quite pricey for such a small space. I'd suggest making a wish list of a few different sizes you'd like and keeping an eye out for them to go on sale. I don't think they're worth the money because it's just a memory card, and it's not absolutely necessary unless you plan to download games instead of using cartridges.
The vita was brimming with possibilities. It could have been the Nintendo Switch, but Sony chose to make these overpriced garbage cards, effectively killing the handheld before it even got off the ground. They do what they're supposed to do, but at a price that irritates me. The best thing you can do is hack your Vita and insert an SD2Vita card to avoid having to use one of these. These memory cards are your only option if you don't want to hack the Vita. It's just a part of life.
Their pricing appears to be blatantly demeaning to their clients.
The cost was prohibitively expensive. Considering I spent the same amount on a 1U class card. (Streaming in RAW 4K) Which I am fairly certain this will not accomplish. So I'm irritated with Sony when they have to rely on nonsense formatting to prevent customers from using their own memory, thereby artificially inflating the price. br>br>Had I known, I would have put a 64GB SD card in my Vita long ago.
For about a day, this adapter worked. br>br>A few months ago, I attempted to get this to work, and I was successful. A day later, I went to turn it on and discovered that my SD card had vanished. I assumed it was a problem with the SD card or with the Vita Homebrew software. br>br>So here I am, a few months later, delving into everything that could have gone wrong, and on the spur of the moment, I purchased another adapter that I saw recommended on Reddit. It was just a few moments ago that I inserted it, and it worked flawlessly. If you don't want to be frustrated, stay away from this.
I recently purchased a vita 2000 (Slim) model from a pawn shop; I don't download a lot of games, but I did want to check out the store for a few free games. It works, but it's not cheap, and it's one of the main reasons the Vita died so quickly. 8 GB is sufficient for a few downloaded games as well as game saves for physical copies.
It does what it says on the tin, but it's a lot more expensive than it needs to be I love Sony, but I think scalping people on proprietary storage media is a bad idea.
