That's correct. It may not appear to work at first because you have to press harder than you'd expect to get the charger into the port, but I plugged mine in and let it charge for a while, and my PS Vita, which had previously been dead, is now alive and well.
Yes. I got it as part of an Assasin's Creed bundle.
This question is quite old, but in case anyone else is curious, the touchscreen does have issues, which are resolved once the charger is removed. If you hold the vita in your hands, it will work better.
It definitely works with the PS VITA that is a little thicker.

Connecting and disconnecting this charger from the Vita takes a lot of force. While connected, the touchscreen functions on my Vita were also mysteriously disabled. Because of these two factors, I was concerned that this adapter would harm the Vita, so I went with an official one.
It performs as expected and is a more affordable alternative to Sony-branded products. The only criticism I have is that the charger is a little difficult to fit into the vita charging port; you have to force it all the way in, which may be uncomfortable for some (it's a really tight fit). If you're not comfortable with the wire, you can replace it with a Sony official wire, and the adapter will still work. The adapter itself is extremely light, almost as if it doesn't exist. My Sony wire started to come apart, exposing wires, so I bought this to replace it. Otherwise, it functions well and provides excellent value for the money; I am very pleased.
My PS Vita charger died, as did an off-brand charger I bought, so I decided to try this one. It's built to last, feels exactly like the one that came with my PS Vita, and has been running like a champ. It's something I'd highly recommend!.
br>br>It's very useful that it comes with a separate USB cable and AC cord; you can use this to connect your vita to your PC or use a longer power cord!br>br>It works fine and doesn't get hot while charging.
It was extremely tight the first time I tried to connect it to my Vita, and it took me a few minutes to finally get it to work. Because I didn't want to damage my Vita's charging port, I was extra cautious, and jiggling it up and down slightly while pushing seemed to help. It goes in easier on subsequent attempts, but it's still a tight fit. Aside from that, I have no issues with it and it performs admirably.
This does the job, but unplugging from the Vita can be difficult, as other reviewers have mentioned. I was worried it was stuck a couple of times, but all I had to do was get a better grip near the connection point. It might be worth the money to buy the Sony USB cable and pay the shipping for peace of mind, knowing that you won't have to worry about the cable getting stuck in the Vita or damaging the Vita while trying to get it out. It's not a bad investment, but it's a risky one.
Everything will be fine. The outlet cable and the brick are both of good quality, but the USB cable itself is of poor quality. The connector is slightly larger than the cable that came with the Vita when it was first purchased. I'm concerned that the force required to insert and remove the cable from the device will damage it in the long run. It's also incredibly light. The ends are most likely to begin to fall apart. I'm not a fan.
I have a PS Vita that I've had for a while and haven't used in a while, and I've lost the original charger and needed to find a replacement. When I came across this one, I decided to give it a shot. I have to say, this charger far surpassed my expectations. This charger does its job and charges my PS Vita as expected, and it does so quickly. I am extremely pleased with my purchase, and I am confident that you will be as well.
