It's extremely dull
3/5

I wish it had been a little bit better! I'm a big fan of the Assassins Creed series, and I really liked Assassin Creed Odyssey, but Valhalla feels like it's missing something, and I'm not sure what it is. The game is smooth, but it's a little too Arcady, and the plot is disjointed. Odyssey, I believe, should have been my final game in the series; I was very disappointed.

This was a game I really wanted to enjoy
3/5

I pre- We had placed an order for this game and had been anticipating its arrival since we first heard about it. Unfortunately, my bow vanished 35 minutes into the game (just as I was gaining control of my character). My elbow was literally launching arrows. Okay, it's just a graphical flaw; it's not a game-breaker. Then I go to a raid and the archer who is supposed to be shooting at me isn't there. My character then becomes invisible, and I am unable to move. Turn off the PS4 and restart it, which isn't exactly where I left off, but it'll do. After 20 minutes, all I see is a blank screen. wtf. Bugs, bugs, and more bugs. It's as if Ubisoft released a game without doing any quality assurance or finishing it. br>br>Throw in an abysmal health regeneration system and the fact that my eagle vision, well, raven vision, wouldn't highlight enemies, and you know what? I'm not going to buy this game again once it's in the bargain bin.

The first mission in the game has a bug
3/5

On the first Seer solace mission, the game has a bug. Nothing happens when you enter Volka's hit the way you should. I've spent the last two hours running around in the snow, only to go online and discover that this game has a bug that prevents you from progressing.

A game-breaking bug has been discovered
3/5

I'm enjoying the game so far, despite the fact that I've only completed two quests. The game "A seer's solace" is unplayable due to a hand breaking bug. As a result, I would advise against purchasing the game until it has been fixed: ) Many thanks to Ubisoft.

"This was a game I really wanted to enjoy
3/5

I truly wanted to enjoy this game, as someone put it in a previous review. There was a lot of hype surrounding the release of this game, but I have to say I was disappointed, and to be honest, playing it feels like a chore. More than words can express how grateful I am that I purchased the basic barebones version of the game and did not spend any more money than was necessary to play it because I have to say it is terrible. To begin with, the combat system is a near-failure because I frequently find myself in the middle of a raid or other form of combat being pursued by five enemies who ignore any other allies on my side and only pursue me. The developers had the "brilliant" idea of eliminating out-of-control characters as a second failure of the combat system, as many others have noted in their reviews. healing for combatants So now you have to run around aimlessly hoping to find berries or a stew cooking in order to regain a quarter or half of your health after any kind of combat, which adds a lot of time to the game and makes it feel extremely tedious. The next thing I noticed was that after Odyssey, the game's climbing mechanics seemed to have been nerfed. I can't tell you how many times I've been in a hurry and tried to take obvious routes up or down walls, only to have the character have a nervous breakdown and run into a terrain impasse. It almost seems reasonable to assume that a significant portion of their free time will be spent frantically searching for a clear path to scale a building. Another thing I've noticed is that you can only leave a certain area after a boss battle or any other battle with a significant character before the game heals them back to full health. This has been extremely aggravating because I enjoy exploring the map's terrain and attempting to make important fights work in my favor, but instead, I find myself expending all of my ammunition and adrenaline attempting to be strategic, only to step outside of the fight's undefined barrier and have my opponent fully regenerate. I've fought countless enemies almost to the end of the game when this full regeneration occurs, and it makes me want to give up completely. If there is going to be a certain size battleground when we're fighting enemies, at least specify it in the game before the player spends all of their time trying to win only to have the boss regenerate because they stepped one measurement outside. The last thing I'll say is that using Synin to tag and mark enemies has been removed, and after many hours of gameplay, I can say that Synin has been used almost never. One of the best aspects of having a bird companion was the ability to use their vision to mark enemies and targets, but this was removed for reasons I don't understand. I don't see much point in using the companion any longer, and Ubisoft might as well drop the character entirely. There's a lot more I could say, but to be honest, I'm tired of writing it. I believe that this game is not worth purchasing at full price, and that purchasing it when it is heavily discounted is the best option.

The game is faulty
3/5

Due to a bug, the PS4 is unable to complete the game. Because the cut scene won't load during the first hour of gameplay, you won't be able to progress through the story.
