It used to work for preorders as well, which was pretty All of my CE games were purchased using it - in fact, my Prime membership was given due to the discount alone. It was cut out sometime ago, but they no longer offer As such, this game can either be classified as a limited edition or a collector's Even so, "Gold" or "Deluxe" editions are still covered under the 20% threshold. It is anti- I am horrified by the way the grieving system works
3/5

I have played this series all the way back to Wasteland, and I was eager to play it with my friends for the first time in coop. It is possible to do that, however the game had an utterly glaring flaw with its supposed "anti-spy" system The "griefing" mechanism is used on the site. In its original form, this was intended to be a way of dealing with attacks by giving them a permanent bounty (until someone died) Only not a single reviewer ever mentioned that if you damage anything that belongs to anyone else, you will also face the bounty. It is only after you damage it that you notice it belongs to someone else! As an example, I have had bounties applied to me for Someone put a spike pit outside my room, so I broke it. The *br*- Taking aim at an auto turret that was shooting at The *br*- A grenade I threw attacked an NPC robot that was in the blast radius of the grenade I threw. It damaged some unknown object in the blast radius. The only thing I want to do is go exploring with my friends. I don't like griefing, I'm not interested in PVP, and I don't like PVP. the stupid antisocial behavior in this game persists My griefing mechanism randomly subjected me to PVP as a punishment for using weapons within a post-apocalyptic setting. I'm not even using the right term here - it should be "PVP". The major reviewers all said that you don't get into a fight with the other player, but you get ganked by every other player in the lobby at the same time. Although it is obnoxious, it appears that it is the only way to remove the stupid wanted notice on your profile. If you wish to play what is basically Fallout 3/4 with random deaths due to hit squads here to exact revenge for scratching someone's teddy bear, then we do recommend you check it out. You might not do it, but I doubt it.

It has been an all-manual process since Bethesda went to an all-manual system We're at our lowest point ever
3/5

Playstation Plus membership is required in order to play the game, which Bethesda never mentions in their product description! This game should not be purchased if you have been playing the previous Fallout titles. We are devastated by this disappointing outcome!.

I find this to be the most disappointing game since No Man's Sky
3/5

Howard and Bethesda have no shame in finding such a useless waste in the streets. I barely feel like I'm playing a game at all. Light effects are very nice. What does it matter? It is incredibly frustrating to me that I've played Fallout 3, New Vegas, and even Fallout 4 so often, but I'm unable to play this game for more than an hour before giving up. In addition, the mandatory game updates are all close to 50GB in size, and when they are due, you are forbidden to play the game until they are completed Because of my slow connection speed, today when I decided to give FO76 one last shot, I am unable to do so since the download time is between 21 hours and 40 hours. What happened to the offline mode Todd Howard mentioned at The truth is being blatantly lied to. Todd Howard is a bad man I despise him, I despise Bethesda, I despise this game, and I will never buy anything from either of them.

I implore you not to waste your money
3/5

I am an avid Fallout fan, which is why I was very excited about the new Fallout video game. While I couldn't wait to get back in the game, I was willing to put up with more settlement building and online play (despite neither being particularly well liked in the Fallout Especially with the last 3 Fallout games, I have enjoyed the depth of the storylines and the NPCs and companions that are a big part of the game play. There are no NPCs in this new version of Fallout, which I can only assume is an attempt to reduce costs and code. It is just the two of us. The only wandering, online players who may or may not destroy you as much as they may One feels as if he is walking through an empty wasteland. This will be the last game I pre-order. I ordered There is no other outcome but perpetuation of industry-wide bad habits. Spend the money on New Vegas again and you'll have no regrets.

Sadly, Fallout and I did not get along
3/5

Trying to make an MMO version of Fallout, a game that has traditionally focused on a lone player traversing a sparsely populated world, with a lot of tactical and strategic considerations driving combat and gameplay, would be difficult. Bethesda had just tried to face Bethesda brutally and just failed at it We planted it. There are almost endless examples of poor decisions made during the design process. It seems as though they just threw everything they could think of into the game, without considering whether it was a worthwhile improvement. There were so many fundamental elements they removed from the traditional Fallout experience that I'm not sure that this game fits within the Fallout continuum. I'm trying not to be a believer in All Change Is Evil (again, it's not). With a franchise like Fallout, continuity involves more than just recycling the graphics, music, and some element of the story line. Different people are interested in different things, and people have a tendency to stick to what they enjoy. Change is not necessarily bad, but it can be risky. We're having a bad day. There are many examples of Bethesda rolling the dice recklessly and often. The "almost turn" transforms into "almost turn-about" Baseline" (VATS pause / slow Playing merely real-time or moving variously based on which installment you are playing) In order to succeed in time combat, you need to think carefully and reach It is impossible to see if an attempt was made here. In place of VATS, we now have an unreliable and problematic auto-repair system A system that places more emphasis on time rather than use (attack) It is completely useless from a functional standpoint, and loses the point of having the system in the first place I feel like they spent five minutes thinking about the concept and then forgot about it. Every time you die, there is a quest that tells you to go back and find your junk - a hint that the game is designed to kill you early and often. Fallout The opposite of traditional Fallout, where you're trying so hard not to die. Because most of the sites are cluttered with so many enemies that a single player would have a difficult time destroying them, cooperative play is much more important than it's theoretically optional. When it comes to the real world outside of military conflict, It makes sense for a more streamlined gameplay approach to take into account the time / persistent nature of environment. Bethesda's gameplay is notably hard, requiring players to monitor not just their health, but also weapons, armor, hunger, thirst, diseases, etc. Enemies attack aggressively and can even cause serious injury if players fail to avoid them. What is the location of the event? There are thousands of homeless super-poor people in the United States The mutants and the ghouls are supposed to be available to resurrect Do each of the sites need to be populated?). In the modern world, there are very few "safe places" where one can pause and relax. Instead, we have to spend a lot of time dealing with minutiae. I love it. In spite of the fact that it makes less sense than the traditional SPECIAL choice tree system, the card-based perk system seems to be the trend du jour in RPGs. Consequently, the design process is grounded less on strategy and tactics and more in luck, literally. Some might find it fun, but it's the opposite of what we expect from Fallout. Thus we now reach the tales of the quests. A human NPC has been (in)famously omitted from the game, while From a design standpoint, I am not sure how this makes sense, but I am sure it makes the quests feel insignificant in terms of emotional impact. Why should we care if nobody else is affected one way or another, since they are all already dead or gone? The quests feel like more of a waste of time than anything that seriously matters (or even is virtual). Despite being experienced all at once, the main storyline is somewhat counterintuitive in that you have the option of completing it on your own, but does not make sense due to the overall game design. On a more positive note, most of this could be resolved with a few It's a huge map, and the graphics are quite good for the age of the Creation Engine on which it's built. Taking a look. The VATS - In real life there's no substitute for combat-style combat There may be a problem with time, but it should be manageable Allow time to stretch out for a moment or two while the shot is taken then let it slowly collapse back to normal. It is an imperfect idea, but almost anything is better than the current state of affairs. The NPCs are easy to add back in again. Problem solved. Just instance them just as you would do the loot, robots, and main storyline. There is either a better way to streamline the "hardcore" aspects of the game or to make them optional so that the people who enjoy the extra busywork can do so and the rest of us can save a little time. I thought it might be a neat idea to have roaming bands of baddies roaming in from outside the map (at a reasonable rate) and preventing undefended areas from being defended A player can use this feature to secure some areas and leave others open to re-use Cleared periodically (but not randomly, for crying out loud). It is possible to solve all the problems. Bethesda might invest more time into ensuring the game is clean up than they do into designing it, because the design is just terrible in the beginning.
