It was my intention to buy this fan in order to replace the OEM fan with a quieter one. I tested it and it really works. Announcing the new fan, we are happy to report that it is MUCH quieter than the original. I found it surprising, in fact. Highly recommended for those wanting to quiet down a loud PS4.

The noise level was so bad that I could barely hear the game. Since I changed it out, the sound is back to normal. A stealthy approach might not be the best, but the difference is evident. It's now one of my favorites.

During the last month of use, the cooling fan went out on my PlayStation 4 pro. I could not turn on the system as a result of this error. It was quieter than the OME fan I had been using. There is no voice communication or headsets or a cranked up volume in Man or No Mans Sky anymore. The Pro sound is very loud and this is highly recommended. Although installation is not bad, if you have never used it before you will have to look up how-to videos on YouTube since they do not include any instructions.

I have not had an overheating issue since replacing this fan and cleaning and reapplying thermal paste along with this. The new fan operates incredibly quietly in comparison to the old fan.

surprisingly quiet and does not bother me at all. It keeps it cool and can handle a few gaming titles like Red Dead , GTAV and I would recommend it to a friend who still has a PS4 pro.

After trying everything before (thermal paste change, removing upper cover, etc) this is much better than my delta fan (which sounds like a jet leaving the room) and improves gameplay sessions. I can play without worrying that my PS4 pro is going to leave the room at any moment. If you want to improve the sound a little bit more, just leave the upper cover off as well.
