Both games are diametrically opposed. They are incompatible with one another.
I'm afraid I won't be able to respond because I don't own the system. My grandchildren have it, and it's the first one, not the second.
No, the character is all that is included; the discs must be purchased separately.

I bought Groot (and later Rocket) for my wife from Disney Infinity. We wanted to see how the game worked, so I bought Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Play Set and Marvel Super Heroes Video Game Starter Pack from Marvel. The Starter Pack is designed specifically for the PlayStation 3 disk. Knowing that I'd be able to use the pad with my PS4 later if I bought a digital download. br>br>First and foremost, let me emphasize how impressive the figures are. They are extremely well-detailed and painted. (A few stuffed animals- br>br>The naming of everything is confusing. br>br>Things you get have bad paint where they aren't painted on the lines, etc. ) I wish Disney had thought of a better name for everything before releasing it, but whatever. br>br>On the PS3, the game is extremely jerky. Is there a problem with the game? Is it possible that your console is outdated? Is it possible to have some of each? The controls, in any case, are abysmal. br>br>I installed the game on my PC and entered the codes. Much more fluid, with improved graphics and excellent controls. There are a lot of annoying 'buy this' and 'buy that' buttons on it, but that's what a Free to Play mentality gets you. br>br>Multiplayer on a vertical spitscreen? What was the source of that notion? There isn't a way to split the screen horizontally, or even do splitscreen like Resident Evil 5 does with separate top and bottom screens. br>br>Cross-Cross-Cross-Cross-Cross-Cross-Cros What is the status of your platform character? Hello? Is it possible that the same person who came up with the verticle splitscreen also decided against saving character progress on a Disney server so that we can pick up where we left off no matter what platform we play on? This is a huge disappointment for me, and it's probably why I haven't played it more. I'd like to continue my character progression by switching from PS3 to PS4, then PC. We have a total of seven characters. I can't imagine myself wanting to purchase the PS4 digital version or even the iPad version right now. br>br>There are a lot of different game modes to choose from, which is great. Disney Infinity style animation I really like the look of Infinity figures, but while this one is nice, it doesn't stand out as much as some of the other or later figures in the line (it's only 2). However, I believe that the quality of the sculpts improved with the later series. Still, with his tiny guns drawn down on you, he looks cool. But where has Groot gone?.
This guy's appearance on the Avengers playset caught me off guard. For that reason, as well as because my boys were bugging me, I had to go get him. Nonetheless, it was a wise investment. Because his melee attack is similar to a sholder tackle, his ranged attack is his best. There is no way to make a combo out of this. This is understandable. He gets 5 stars for unlocking more missions in the Avengers playset, not for his fantastic gameplay.
Rocket has the potential to join the Avengers, which is a good thing. br>br>However, returning to the figure, Rocket is both awesome and adorable (giving me a Conker vibe, heh). ) Don't bother upgrading his melee attack; instead, focus on improving his guns and grenade, as well as his super jump. His size makes him a little more difficult to kill, and his weapons aren't bad either. Rocket is a fantastic character who lives on the ground. br>He has the ability to Ride, but it's only available to Groot, and you can't aim in this mode, which kind of defeats the purpose. Still, as of right now, he is my favorite Marvel character.
I'm not sure if this was a new or used item when I bought it. However, it arrived wrapped in bubble wrap, as if it had been used. There were a few minor blemishes on the toy, but it worked flawlessly on the machine, and I'm pleased with it.
The Disney Infinity game is a favorite of my 8-year-old son. And because he likes to collect and use characters, I believe we might have 90 of them. On the Xbox One, with Disney Infinity 3, this works fine for me. They aren't machine-specific, but I haven't personally verified this. I give it 5 stars because it makes him happy and keeps him off the streets.
It came in a brand new box, straight from the store. The figure was undamaged by the dented plastic, which was most likely caused by shipping.
Nothing in the listing said open box or used, and I received what appeared to be an open package with no paperwork or character card.
