Installation took a little while, but they are staying in place every day. Give these a shot if you have the classic rubber peeling off the sticks on your thumbs. This means that the stick doesn't strike the main controller when moving in full direction, which was a concern with some of the older A major update was made in Even 2 years after they began to work, they continue to do so. Then again, they do pop off every once in a while (maybe every couple of months. ). I may add some silicone glue to them when I put them back on one of these days. Having lost one along the way, I am looking to order another set and am leaning towards just picking up this same model. I have not seen any wear or tear with these even with heavy usage).
There is a good chance I will buy more. In the end, I purchased four pairs of the red ones and they cover both my Xbox 360 controllers, my PlayStation 3 controller, and my Wii U controller. The sleeves fit perfectly on all of them, and I believe they will greatly extend the lifetime of any joystick (I also tried them on my Steam controller joystick for science purposes, and they also fit perfectly). Some are tricky to use, and it may take a few tries to get the hang of them. A quick and easy way to flip them inside out, center them precisely on the joystick, and then flip all the sides at once is to flip them inside out. Unless you take them off intentionally, you shouldn't ever have to take them off if they are on properly. It is a certainty that I will buy more for my other.
Also, it is protected by the free return policy, so it is an even better deal. As soon as I opened it, I noticed it had a better grip. The first time you use it, you've got to get used to it! We installed them on both Xbox 360 and PS4 controllers and the color is subtle and works well with both.
I saw them on a list of recommended stocking stuffers for gamers, although my son didn't ask for them for Christmas. I got them for my 12 yo son, who was super excited about the gifts. They've been keeping him occupied for the last month, and he can't get enough of When you consider how difficult it can be to get a tween excited about anything -- These are wins in my book!.
My sons were disappointed the glow in the dark effect was not there! First they were hard to get on which was not a big deal, but they were supposed to glow in the dark which was great! As far as the quality goes, once you do get them on, they do feel awesome, so if you just want some green and white caps that do not flash, they are perfect for any controller.
You can kind of get them on, if you can fix them. We had a lot of trouble placing the grips on the I couldn't invert the grips, so I had to hook the lip of the grips onto the edge of the joystick and stretch them over. In use, the grips were not exactly sticky, but they were adequate.
I then applied a tiny bit of super glue to the top of the plastic cover before installing them. The ones that came with this set I like a lot and will buy again if necessary, however since there were eight in total, I doubt I will need to purchase any in the near future.
Far cheaper than shopping in a retail I replaced it without much difficulty, and it feels much better than the standard thumb pads on the PS4. While chasing the scrambling quarterbacks in Madden, the sticks give a better grip because they are usually fast enough to pass Michael Vick.
