This is not the case. I tried using SCP Toolkit, as suggested by another reviewer, but I couldn't get the wireless function to work even with the wireless drivers included in that program. It can only be used if the USB cable is connected to a computer.
This is the first time I've ever encountered such excellent customer service. br>Their customer service is outstanding; they went above and beyond to help me solve a problem (how to charge the PS3 controller), and they always responded to my e-mails. I was impressed by how quickly they responded to my emails, which made me appreciate their customer service team even more. br>Contacting them directly was even quicker and more efficient than contacting Amazon Customer Support.
It was very poor in my opinion. In normal circumstances, my left stick would only register three directions, and pressing right on it would only result in a VERY light touch of movement to the left (think of it as the equivalent of barely tilting a normal PS3 stick just enough to register movement). It rendered the controller useless for any game that required analog movement (nearly all of them).

But I'm fed up with being followed around. It is a little slower than the original controller, but it serves its purpose and has never froze or failed to function. It's a great value for the money.
THE BUTTONS STICK AS WELL, AND THE CONTROLLER KEEP FREEZING ON ME. (Updated review) Since writing the review, I've received numerous emails from Voyee requesting a replacement or refund (along with a change in my rating). I've decided not to because this controller is such a waste of money, and I'd rather keep their money and replace it so that I can write an honest review. I hope that this information will be useful to someone who does not want to waste time or money on this product.

I purchased two of these. The quality was good at first, and the battery life was satisfactory. They do, however, have a proclivity to go crazy after 5-minutes. 10 minutes and 100% of user control is lost. They're fine for another 5-minutes after they turn off due to inactivity. The seller personally contacted me to try to rectify the situation. He's going to send me a free upgrade to the controller. Because of excellent customer service and a guaranteed fixed product, I am upgrading from a two-star to a five-star rating.
To begin with, I find that this controller charger is faster than the original controller; the charging cable is more than twice as long, and the battery lasts much longer. Second, I enjoy playing video games on the PlayStation 3 with my son. The controller performs just as well as my original, and at a fraction of the cost of a Sony controller. It's a great option if you're looking for a low-cost PS3 controller.
I guess I'm just a n00b boomer, but this controller is perfect. I take the PS3 controller off the shelf for the first time in a long time because I needed to get some little big planet in for whatever reason. My original PS3 controller appeared to work, but something was causing the buttons to stick, so I decided to disassemble it and repair it. The controller exploded as a result of a chain of events, so it was placed in a freezer bag to be repaired later. br>br>Because I'm impatient, I bought a cheap knock-off. I'm going to turn off the controller and call it a day. This one appeared to be a good deal with some good reviews, so why not take a chance?br>br>I'm glad I did. Granted, the accelerometer appears to be less accurate / responsive, but it's still a controller that works. But keep in mind that I enjoy games like Little Big Planet and Uncharted, so I don't take myself too seriously. This controller may not be suitable for the "Pro Gamer," but if you're still engrossed in your game and using a PlayStation 3, you should reconsider. I've had two Sony PS3 controllers, and they've both started to lag and move around on their own. I previously purchased a third-party one (the gray one), but it was ineffective. So I purchased two black controllers, which worked so well that I purchased a third (gold) controller. My brothers and I still play our PS3 on occasion, but PS3 controllers are still quite expensive (around $40), so I got three good working ones for $30. These controllers are fantastic, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new set.
I'm not sure why finding a basic PC controller is so difficult. I'm used to the Playstation controller style and layout, and I believe it is the best. br>I have an Xbox controller that is natively compatible with Windows 10, but I despise the offset joystick layout, so I only use it as a backup (when my other controllers fail). br>I was using the $15 Logitech controllers (model F310), but the joysticks loosen up so quickly that they eventually crap-out. In a few months, the book will be available. The only other controllers I've found that work natively with Windows 10 are those and Xbox controllers. br>As a result, I began (again) looking for a new controller. br>br>When I first saw it, I thought to myself, "There's no way this thing is going to be that good for $12. This is important because if they're too loose, the joysticks will remain in an off-position when you let go of them. Even if you don't move the joysticks, your character continues to walk in the center position. That program was listed on SourceForge, but it was marked as "deprecated and no longer maintained. " " I was concerned about this, but I went ahead and installed it. There's a good article on pcgamer. com that explains how to use a PS3 controller with your PC and includes a step-by-step guide. I followed the step-by-step guide on how to install SCP Toolkit and configure it for your controller, and it greatly aided my setup. The wireless option/drivers in SCPToolkit do exist, but they did not work for me. That wasn't a big deal for me because I'm used to playing PC games with wired controllers. br>br>In terms of the controller itself, here are the benefits and drawbacks that I've discovered so far: (I've only had it for about three days, so I'll try to remember to update it if/when I think of more things to list)br>br>PROs:
- It's a dead ringer for the PS3 controller. The only difference is that the PS logo has been replaced with "VOYEE," and the PS button has been replaced with "P3," haha. (I was able to scratch the surface lightly. ) - removed the "voyee" and replaced it with a blank page)br>- Joysticks that are too tight!
- I might buy a few more for my PS3 if the price is right.
- Long USB cable (in comparison to other items that come with a USB cable, which are typically 3 ft or less)br>br>CONs:
- Doesn't work with Windows 10 (i. e. , it's not a native app). To make it work on a PC, you'll need another program. br>- Even with SCP Toolkit, I couldn't get it to work wirelessly with Windows 10. br>- The D- When I press the pad, it doesn't always register that I've done so.
