I have played many of the earlier Civ games, but this one won't install because I can't get Steam to work. While I have been connected to the internet to buy this, Steam installation repeatedly fails, with an error message saying there is no connection to the internet. It must be obvious that I am online, or else I would not be writing this review. In the Steam website, you will find a laundry list of reasons why Steam may not install and, for each reason, more laundry lists of what to do (including turning your firewall off) to resolve the problem. You get the idea of how often it gets installed wrong by how many people experience this issue. Among the things I tried were turning off the firewall temporarily (eugh! Nothing worked), but nothing did. After starting to update, it fails with an error message saying there is This is a pity. I have always enjoyed Civ games, but Steam has been a waste of time for me.
