I was blah! It took a week for the game to be shipped, but I finally received it
3/5

In my eyes, this game is almost a direct view into the battle itself, and it is as lifelike as I had expected. This is incorrect! Playing Pong has been more fun for me. The premise of this game seems to be 'let's rush out and release something so that we can collect some cash from the It's impossible for anyone to stay interested in this game if it is not engaging in some manner. Looking for a game with a sense of realism or history will be tough. Check out something else instead.

A very realistic way of looking at the world. Having a grandchild who loves WWII is wonderful. It made him happy to play this game. This is an easy game Install it in no time. The value for money is good.

Don't play this game at any cost! Although I bought it on sale for 10 dollars, even that is still way too much for a game that has only been out for a few months
3/5

As soon as I saw the box and saw it said Activision Value, I knew it would not be worth the effort. Aside from the video clips in between levels, the best part of the game is the old news footage with new voiceovers in between levels. I don't like the guns very much, and the model quality is not very good either. Although the crosshair is still present, you can either aim down the sight or with the Despite the fact that 9 out of 10 times the Japanese just stand there and let you shoot them, it doesn't matter much. Aside from a few scripted scenes, you and the Japanese will be the only ones to die. You can be 2 feet from a japanese attacking him with a mag, and nothing happens, as you're not lucky enough to have his back. Yet the artificial intelligence is so poor that only a few times do they land a hit, and an accurate kill shot is very rare. After playing the game for about 2 hours on normal, I finished it. The other review of this game stated that most of the battles are skipped and you don't have the option to enter a MG or Quad. To shoot at the planes, you will need 50 dollars. It is difficult to find anything positive Playing the game is fully linear, and you are not able to take any action at all. As soon as you are a couple of seconds too slow, the mission fails, as it states that the mission was not followed. While the graphics are weak, they are not terrible, except when it comes to the weapons which are slightly dull, and the aircraft, which are dull, as well as moving a bit too slowly. Generally, the levels are pretty basic and you'll be in the jungle or the trench for most of the time. We often go back and forth at the same places over and over again. There was not a single multiplayer server available, which was not surprising. Player's will not find anything to enjoy in this game. The game is fine if you have kids since it has basic skill level, but there is a little foul language in it. It makes me leery of any other games on the history channel There was obviously someone trying to make a quick buck here.

It was a huge disappointment/was a complete waste of money
3/5

There was so much to dislike about this game. We thought it was a good idea to create realistic battles from the Pacific theater in collaboration with the History Channel. Despite this, there are many areas where this game falls short. It is a game that- After the first level, the game started to become repetitive and pointless. It stayed the same for One of the most frustrating aspects of the game is the lack of freedom your character has. There is no way to escape following a leader who is controlled by computer. do not keep up with him, the game ends and you are told you failed your mission. When you take too long fighting a Japanese after he and the other computer GIs have run off, the mission is a failure. In other words, if you do anything but stay next to him throughout the entire duration of the fight, "Mission Failed", regardless of whether or not one shot has been As a player, you must also stay on one path the entire You may think that the playing field is enormous and that you can go anywhere, but this is just an illusion created by the computer. Basically, you have a very narrow piece of land to play on, and you can hardly spend any time in one place when you are dragged along this narrow little Additionally, the graphics are not to be found to be exciting In this case, it would be different if the game was released four or five years ago. It was the same for every single Japanese soldier. I used to see the different types of soldiers, the uniforms, the officers with their swords, but now nothing? It got boring after a while. The civilian casualty rate at these islands was one of the most horrifying aspects of World War II. However, not a single civilian is to be found anywhere throughout the Nothing to do with people, villages, or anything else. It is difficult, too, to use the AI of your enemies. The Japanese were known for the suicidal use of bayonets, but they were also adept at land battle strategy, and jungle warfare, as well This is a game about warfare, and these events are horribly misrepresented by the terrible AI. Furthermore, I strongly disagree with the decision to completely ignore the Battle of Okinawa in the game, which is by far the most disappointing for me. The Japanese dug into the ruins of the island's castle as command posts, making it one of the fiercest and most bloody ground battles in the Pacific In spite of that, the whole thing was left out. With a couple of hours of play each day, it was an easy game to beat in just two days. You won't really notice anything new if you play it again afterwards, since there's no point of playing it again Due to the stupid restrictions in the game, there isn't anything new to discover. Keeping this in mind, I think playing this game is an absolute.

I guess this was a good game after all. I would love to see the video if it worked and I could see anything at all! Please do not take action in getting a fix from them, as they do not have one, and Activision could not care less about it. The same thing happened to me with another Activision game for PC. There is no picture and my PC has more RAM and a 500 MB video card than the specs stipulate. "Civilization" runs just fine on my computer. During the Activision Civil War sale I got both this game and one other for five dollars That's why now I understand. I think this was a waste of time and It is not possible for me to give it a negative or a zero rating, so one is the best I can give.

Did they have any idea what they were It is explained well in the other reviews how this game is in need of improvement
3/5

There is just no way I can comprehend what the game developers were thinking for this game and, more importantly, the History Channel assigned their brand to such an I think the game testers would have realized at some point in the development process that this game would not be suitable for modern players. If the name History Channel didn't appear on it, I strongly doubt that this game would have even been released. Don't waste your time with the internet.

It was the Battle of There was not much to the Battle for the Pacific
3/5

The Medal of Honor series, Call of Duty series, and Brothers in Arms series are among the ones I own. In Rainbow Six Lockdown, play the Vegas Blackhawkdown video game. I discuss those two games because Battle for the Pacific doesn't even come close to them. Battle for the Pacific will be an excellent sequel, just like Brothers in Arms, and it needs to be put to the same level as those titles.
